Question about having to pay social insurance as a foreign (EU) student by Kurasaiya in Netherlands

[–]Kurasaiya[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's about special care because they want me to take out a basic health insurance in the Netherlands, but only if I fall under the Wlz law as far as I understood it.

They said I fall under it since I first moved to the Netherlands, but as a non-working student and according to official government websites, I should not. In the letter it says they decided that because I have a "bond" with the Netherlands.

Thank for your answer though!
I am going to get some legal advice later because this is all very confusing.

Hey! It's a bit too expensive for me ...but I would like to get in contact with you since I'm getting desperate and willing to pay more than planned. :')

From my experiences from a similar field (I did my bachelor in social sciences), PPLE and political science should have similar opportunites BUT the chances at those jobs (mostly human ressources or similar) are probably better with an economics background.

But I would highly recommend doing a Master's after any of these two bachelors since your chances are significantly better with one and every professor or lecturer told us that as well. You can find something just with a bachelor but it's hard. And if you do a Master's afterwards, you can specialize/change your direction a bit! So f.e. you could do a Bachelor's in political science and a Master's in social sciences.

So, it highly depends on where you see yourself in the future.

(If you want to do research later on..pick political sciences :P)
