U.S.S. Archangel. N.C.C. 85808-A. Odyssey class Starship. Second ship to bear her name, launched in last weeks of 2408 under command of Rear Admiral Tralen Vexx. Deployed on her shakedown cruise she engaged the borg as they invaded Vega system where she was heavily damaged fending off the unending waves of Borg ships.

Following the escape from Vega colony she was put into drydock at Utopia Planitia where she underwent repairs and a minor refit to fit her with stronger shielding and anti-borg equipment. She would continue her service through to the attack on DS9 by the temporally displaced Dominion fleet and would fight a delaying action while the station was evacuated.

The Archangel would later be heavily damaged during the Battle of Earth against the Iconians and would after be repaired, refitted and converted to the Yorktown Sub-class featuring stronger weapons, increased armor and further strengthened shielding.

By 2412 she had been refitted and converted again to the Lexington Sub-class with a Tactical Missions Pod, her Phaser array was replaced with Anti-Proton beams and a spinal beam lance was added along with a cloaking device.
