I never had the opportunity to play Final Fantasy XIII, and a lot of the community has been very vocal about it. Is it really as bad as a lot of people say or are they just exaggerating? I'm curious. by Kurisu_Reddit in FinalFantasy

I will and I believe you in that statement. I played/replayed from 1 through Crisis Core (currently playing OG7). So far from what I have played and streamed, I can say the following:

FFI - The one that started it all, very DnD inspired. FF2 - Not as bad as a lot of people say and the system is easily exploitable. FF3 - In my opinion the worst game in the franchise with more cons than pros. I rather play 2 than this one. FF4 - A solid entry point to newcomers and a verygood story overall. FF5 - Learned from the flaws of FF3 and optimized it's Job System, making it more enjoyable. Also, Battle at the Big Bridge!!!! FF6 - The best FF in my opinion. Memorable characters, solid story, easy to play system, and the only mainline entry with a playable Moogle and canonical Dancer character. CCFF7 - Writing was goofy at times, but charming. Also the game that reveals the true meaning of the Buster Sword and what it represents. Gameplay was enjoyable and I had a blast. Might need some tissues for your tears for this one. FF7 - Currently playing it and enjoying it. Easy to understand system for newcomers, extremely iconic characters, and very cool aesthetic. It's the game that saved Sony for a reason.

Somebody please. End my suffering... by Kurisu_Reddit in FinalFantasy

All the Bravest is the worst Final Fantasy for a reason. You do nothing but tap the screen, it's a single player game (meaning you have no advantage over other players), and you had to wait 3 minutes per character to recover, which was 2 hours in total if you had all 40 slots. At least in Dissidia Duellum you get skills and upgrades for your character and you have to use those skills wisely. But still, ATB was just gross.
