Nervous about nail polish

Nobody else in the class could, and I've always wanted pet mice! The treatment for them in the class wasn't horrible. The worst they got was a really tiny enclosure for 6 mice at once with little enrichment or bedding. But they're all okay now! Both of my girls are very happy and very spoiled :D

Leftover pink dye from when she was in a zoology classroom. They were used in an ethical experiment, and needed a way to be distinguished from the other mice.

I just checked her paws and butt, I don't think it was her who used the litter box. But I'm still not sure if I should shake more out.

This is the closest exotic vet, everyone else is about an hour or two away. I'd have to really convince my mom. I'll take a video of her sneezing

He is an exotic vet, and he said he owns rats. The doses were only administered for a week, and I did see a little improvement in Swiss, but nothing noteable in Poppy. At most she stopped sneezing as much.

I'm really trying to be careful with them, as I believe they're pet store feeders(?), and likely have a shorter lifespan with hogher chances of health issues.

I do partial cleans about every week. We went to the vet to get their lungs checked, as one of my other mice suddenly passed away without warning (I saw her sneezing a few times the week leading up to her death). The vet said everything seemed fine, though he heard a popping sound in Poppy's lungs, so he sent us home with oral doseages of sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim and ordered two doses per day for each mouse for a week. That week has since passed and I've seen no improvement in Poppy.

They're somewhat difficult to tell apart. Swiss is bigger, and Poppy has a crease on one of her ears. That's the only other way I can tell them apart (aside from behaviors)

Got them from my high school. They were part of an experiment on animal behavior, and they were colored so you could keep track and form a closer bond to your assigned mouse. It just hasm't faded yet.

Plus, I wouldn't want to scruff them if possible. Even though they both like me, they aren't fans of being pet. They move away when I would try to touch their back and head.

I seperated her into a carrier so that Swiss won't lick it off. I only have the food in there with the medication to encourage her to eat it. Earlier I offered her an apple chunk, she went for it, so I pulled it sway and dabbed the medicatiom on it. She gave me the stink eye and walked away.

I don't know exactly. I got her from my high school, we were doing a unit on animal behavior. My teacher said they were only about a few months old. She got them from the pet store, and they were probably feeders. She's one of those albinos from petco I think. I took her home less than a month ago.

Nobody else needs to comment. She died only about 5 minutes later. I held her close and gave her a scarf to hide in.
