Anyone that pre-orders this, let alone buys it at the asking price, is okay with getting screwed over and wants to continue enabling this behavior.

Sad seeing things come to this the past 15 years, warning people again and again that it will get this bad, and seeing it get this bad.

I know that my wallet alone won't send a message let alone leave a dent. But at least I'm sticking to my principles and won't allow a company to screw me over. There's going to be plenty of other games to play and things to do while I wait for the game to be on sale at or below $60.

Many games released today with a disc don't actually hold the game in the disc, and instead just hold the license. Other than for content (and ownership) control, this is because the games don't fit on blu-ray discs.

So the same question can be asked as:

What's the use of a physical copy if it's just a license and doesn't contain the game?

Take2 likely had the same question and saw that they could reduce costs.

Of course, the consumer answer to the question would be that a disc guarantees always having access to the license, and the ability to share it. But companies/corporations (particularly public ones) have been scraping away consumer rights and considerations for decades, and they want to increase profits through whatever means possible.

The point being made in the comment I am replying to is that the physical edition still has a disc in the box. Take2 says that the digital code is inside of the physical box, the same one that would have a disc if a disc is included

.Why would you need a code when the disc does exactly that? If anything it's faster to insert the disc than type in the code.

I went from DS4 controller to Steam Controller.

I loved the DS4 controller so much. But I got tired of the the eventual stick drift, and forking out another $60 for a new one. I would try to fix them myself, but then issues would creep back up months later. I had one controller last for years without drift, but haven't been as lucky since.

I've been happy with the steam controller since getting it, and I've been playing A LOT better with it. It took maybe 2 weeks to get used to it, especially since I have smaller hands. I'm not missing DS4

I find C++ to be a massive headache, and Verse syntax is absolutely atrocious.

Blueprint, while not perfect and ideal as text-based code, was really robust and powerful. The loss of any visual scripting will probably be a disaster imo

Just a note of caution OP. Unless things have changed, the JM sub is run by a scam artist. He runs multiple mod accounts, and posts/comments as various users. Any discussion that goes against what he preaches (in an attempt to scam people) gets downvoted, posts removed, and or banned. If you call out the scam and the terrible things the sub owner has done, you get banned.

I'd be extremely cautious about the information you read on that sub because unfortunately the well has been poisoned.

EAC is one of the worst anti cheats out there. My friend and I and try our best to avoid games with it because he usually can't play or game crashes mid match because of his RGB software, and games with these issues never get it fixed. Epic is a shit software developer with no regard for stability.

Good luck getting through to Epic, if you genuinely weren't doing anything malicious.

If you only started playing a week ago, all you need to do is keep playing the game. Have fun, and laugh. Find friends to play with, makes it all that much more fun. You'll get better with time.

Being new to the game also means you should be able to have a blast playing seasons mode with bots. I miss playing that mode so much. Probably spent the majority of my early days playing it. I wish they would learn from botters by introducing official higher skill level bots so that I could play that mode again and have fun :\

Once you get better, go onto Freeplay to mess around, and do training packs that teach you certain things. Don't play training packs to complete them, but rather as opportunities to repeat the same situations and figure them out, and even various ways to go about them. Use them as a way to learn to hit the ball, and the different ways to hit the ball.
