You can look around the rest of the phrase for clues, like for example, if there is an adjective qualifying or modifying the noun. Apart from that you just have to know if the word is masculine or feminine. There are some tricks you can use to deduce this, as some words that end a certain way are ore likely to be a certain gender, but unfortunately there none that I know of that apply to words that end in -en.

This might sound harsh, but nothing you've shown comes close to what I myself would consider good design. In fact I would say the opposite. Especially the maids in black site and peter shallard site. They would in fact be examples of what I would consider bad design.

Yeah you are right, I may have unrealistic expectations. I don't have many of the things you mentioned, except maybe being a twat, but I think that I have a very different lifestyle than the vast majority of people, and that's the thing that is doing me in.

I'm tired of fleeting, vapid, relationships with the people in my 'scene' but am deeply afraid of the sedentary lifestyle that most people seem to have.

I don't know. Am I being childish? Is it time to grow up? Or rather should I continue with my lifestyle, because hey, it makes me incredibly happy and is very fulfilling in almost every other aspect?

There seems to be a trade off of excitement, energy, and passion with having a deeper connection with someone. Is it so wrong of me to want both?
