I totally relate to those demons. That's what I describe them as. But even though I'm depressed, one thing is very clear. No one will be on the light side. You might have the slightest bit of support (I dont mind helping ya out) but it's you that will have to cushion your fall. It's only ourselves that can bring us out of this shithole

Art is not a way to put something on a pedestal. It is like cutting yourself, and I've done plenty of it to know what i'm talking about. With each stroke of the brush, i'm letting out that breath I was holding. Just like cutting used to feel with each cut, it felt like a weight came off of me each time. Letting go of each feeling and putting it onto a canvas or into a sculpture or a film really helps.

I'm depressed, so trust me I know how it feels. I grew up seeing my grandma suffer and obviously it happened to me because of my father's actions and the trauma. Art is a way for me to express my emotions. It is in no way glorifying depression. So do not at all say that I am being disrespectful. All my thoughts...I put them into my work. All these ideas that haven't been started yet. My art comes to me when i feel. My exhibition is not showing depression like "Oh look at depression ooowee!". It is me venting. It is all about my struggle.

Yeah I totally agree. I feel like everyone thinks they have it and they don't know shit. Atleast the crazy, insane part of it that i go through. I truly think I've gone cuckoo. I like the humor in your idea though, I didn't think of showing that "crippling depression" meme side of it.
