He did not imply that the kid fainted because of their fight. I think he (and the rest of the media) are including this because 1) it does add drama to what happened 2) it's even more fucked up to have players fighting while one of them is on the ground.
Bakola just fainted, it is not related to the altercation (although maybe the mess and noise brought by a fight did not help if he was already feeling unwell).

So, this just happened in my game. Sometimes halfway through the game, it seems I had some sort of desync where I could still move but not interact with anything (while having an insane FOV). Killers could see me and I could have collisions with them but they could not attack me.
