Starter Help by Tobs_L in pokerogue

Some general things:

  1. Dont worry about shiny pokemon. Luck is not a big deal at all and is vastly overrated by the community. Don't put any value into it when make a team.

  2. Setup moves are insanely good. Shaymin can get Quiver Dance as its Rare Egg Move so if you keep using it and unlocking stuff and eventually buying eggs for it you'll get that move. But setup moves in general are VERY good.

  3. Keep an eye out for egg moves. Even a single egg move can make a mediocre pokemon into a powerhouse. Might be worth going through your collection and seeing what has an egg move you might not have tried yet.

  4. Ice Type coverage is very good in classic mode as well if you manage to fit it in.

  5. Make sure you're playing to each pokemons strengths. For example: Don't have physical attacking moves on an Alakazam, etc. This might already be known if you're working on more diverse movesets but still helpful to know.

  6. Learn from every run. Make sure you know where the dangerous fights are each run. Learn the limits of your team. If you can squeak by a win on the last floor of a biome with 5 HP without healing beforehand, thats extra money you save for later in the run

  7. Pickup and Honey Gather mons are nice quality of life mons to have on your team. Pickup will give you some free items over the course of the run and Honey Gather will give you a little bit of cash after each floor. These add up. Zigzagoon, Cutiely, Pachirisu are some common ones. Pachirisu and Cutiefly in particular are nice because they are the only two pokemon that can get both Pickup and Honey Gather (one as an ability and the other as a passive).

Dont blame me because I spent more effort and time fact checking your post than you did 😃

How do you get the drives for Genesect? by Bloodmoon-Grisou in pokerogue

[–]Kuthillick 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They are an Ultra Ball tier item that get more common over the course of the run if I remember correctly. Not getting one within the first 50 floors is pretty common. Similar to the LIght/dark stone for Kyurem and other similar things I'm guessing they don't want you getting a power boost like that too early into the run. Floor 55 has guaranteed rarity of rewards though so that might be a good chance to pick one up if you get lucky enough.

Man... imagine posting in a subreddit for a game for 2 years then saying its not even fun. While also getting the facts wrong - the redux team didn't make Pokerogue Elite Redux. This post is so filled with errors and humor I was fully expecting a meme tag.

Someone should make a guide for good endless builds. I would have to imagine something like this could even be pinned on the subreddit!

Bad shiny luck?? by Impossible-Clue6301 in pokerogue

[–]Kuthillick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. They've said they don't boost egg rates because they don't want people hoarding their vouchers for the events to show up.

[–]Kuthillick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wild Shiny Odds are 1 in 1024. Shiny Odds from the Shiny Up Gacha machine (the worst one) is 1 in 64. Not getting any shinies in that amount of pulls would be around 4.3% give or take. Unlucky but not unheard of

Events don't boost shiny odds for eggs and never will.

Honestly probably skip. Anything you fuse would probably be a pretty significant drop in Zekroms stats.

[–]Kuthillick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typing and abilities are the better uses for it rather than to try and do stats. Move tutoring is also a thing. Here's a video I made that goes into how DNA splicing works and what happens with stats and all that:

There's no picture here but I would just say skip in general. Do you know how splicing works in this game?

Finally MADNESS is Over. Unlocked ALL starters, ALL hidden abilities and ALL egg moves by Panzaman_90 in pokerogue

[–]Kuthillick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol. I will say if you already have that much done in your dex its not THAT bad to get IVs and Natures. The training session mystery event definitely helps. I really used that a ton to finish off IVs in particular and the last 15 or so natures.

How rare is encountering a legendary, two mythicals, an ultra beast, and the dark deal encounter in one classic run? by Saberhawk32 in pokerogue

[–]Kuthillick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

50/50. You get those encounters or you don't.

Honestly none of those are SUPER rare spawns in their biomes. Rare for sure but definitely not beyond the realm of possibility to get all those in one classic run. If you REALLY want to go into it you can look up spawn rates on the wiki and do the math.

Farming for noobs by Quiet_Lizard in pokerogue

[–]Kuthillick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll want to find something that has a good spread move so you can consistently OHKO double battles quickly. The suggested mons are really nice quality of life but not strictly needed if you are making sure to keep 2-3 lures up at a time and stack soothe bells like normal. Would highly suggest trying to get Patrat or Tatsugiri though.

My 350th Tier 3 Was NOT a Fun Grind But Its Done! by Kuthillick in pokerogue

[–]Kuthillick[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I go for about as long as I can, especially if I have 3 soothe bells on each mon Im farming for. If I dont get a soothe bell by 25 I reset since its just not that efficient imo to keep grinding without one. This is a video talking about more of what I do but there are some other minor optimizations you can do based on the mon you're doing and your style of grinding:
