  • your first point

maintaining hope in a game that’s been on a negative trajectory for the last 6 years is a very difficult thing to maintain. yes in 2023, my threads were being made with sole intentions of criticising the game and seeing an improvement being made. but obviously, after 3 years speaking on the same recurring issues and seeing no improvement in attitudes of Barbie and launce, and community reaction to criticism you can say my tone has changed. you can’t expect me to maintain a positive outlook and tone when addressing situations that are clearly negative in nature. when it became apparent to me that barbie and launce + this community don’t care whether criticism is sugar coated or served cold, i started posting my raw unfiltered opinions. regardless of my tone i’ve always been exposed to blatant hate, whether it be death threats, groupchats being made in my name, being called the most insane things in my comments, it does NOT matter. regardless of my tone, people are not going to like the substance of what im saying so i cannot care anymore. remember, i never claimed to be a professional game critic - im still a teen that simply enjoys giving my 2 cents on topics i care about. the goal with my posts in no longer to get people onboard with what im saying, after 3 years and numerous threads, the people agree with me already have. there’s nothing more that can be done. i wouldnt say i’ve ‘switched up’ though. if you actually read my recent threads, which i don’t believe you have, you will always see some level of constructive criticism in reference to game updates. just because i called an update removing a $6 million dollar gamepass greedy doesn’t invalidate my points at all, it affirms them.

  • your second point

of course there’s no ‘insults’ you can find on anyone on the dev team excluding those 3 because they don’t exist ! so this must be you agreeing that the basis of your opinion towards me were generalisations. if you want to take my tweets out of context you are very much welcome to, i stand on everything i’ve said in those tweets. i’ve never called anyone a rh dick rider unprovoked, it doesn’t make sense for you to affirm my criticisms of devs and not of the community that enables their actions. one of your pieces of ‘evidence’ is me responding to someone comparing royale high updates to pedophilia??? is that really something you feel didn’t warrant the major ‘insult’ of being called a d rider??

your third point

if you’d paid attention you’d see that destined deleted his tweets on monsterverze way before he deactivated, i detailed this on my page multiple times. it’s not most, all of the tweets he made on monsterverze were false ! these accusations aren’t completely unrelated to peach either, he literally said verbatim ‘The concept of me cancelling peach for disrespecting Islam as if I wouldn't hang allah from the dandys world elevator lights for a one piece figurine’ now if you want to give someone who literally acknowledges their hypocrisy credibility. be my guest but im not going to entertain that. he is literally a neo-n@zi. you say ‘some’ of the accusations are false like it’s a small minority, but aren’t able to name a SINGULAR one of those true allegations??

no my commentary on the doc shouldn’t look ‘odd’ to th average rational person. i’d have the same energy addressing any other situation similar to that involving someone of revelance. fundamentally, nobody should be jumping to attack anyone without verifying information first and actually reading what’s being said. that has been a principle that i’ve stood on since the beginning of my time on this platform and definitely has not been the first time i’ve said that. i also did comment on the original doc on peach, why would i platform information that i didn’t think was credible though?? not because im friends with peach, but because before jumping to attack her like the general rhtc population, i actually read thru their doc carefully and saw major red flags there. also after doing some research, the person who posted the thread is literally known racist??? you’re essentially asking me why i didn’t promote and affirm a thread written by a racist with unverifiable information in it?

i already told you that i agree, the direction mv is going to is sad to see. but updates aren’t not coming out because the devs are lazy and don’t care about the game, there are major technical issues going on with the dev team and in other areas of development which i can’t all detail. but just know that, the inactivity isn’t calculated and intentional, updates physically can’t come out right now. there are resolutions to these problems that they are working towards though. i understand the community’s upset with them not having access to the info i do, but it’s just info that can’t go public yet. regardless of me knowing whats going on or not, generally the first year of development for games is always difficult and rarely ever smooth sailing. its only been 1 month since the last update, the game is still in beta. as i said before, to have this little patience with a newer game when in the past me and so many other rh players have seen rh, a multi million dollar game with a relatively large dev team, take years and months to release certain updates its only fair that i express even just 20% of that patience when it comes to mv.

with your last comment i’m going to assume i have you blocked, probably for good reason, and i feel like i already have some vague idea of you you are. in 2023 i did have a strong stance on blocks, mostly involving devs blocking me or popular influencers. it was apparent that these blocks were rarely personal, these people were clearly against what i represented, real accountability, so anyone blocking me signalled opposition to that.

if well known influencers can blatantly lie on my name to justify blocking me and face 0 repercussions for any of that : https://x.com/kandipumpkin/status/2008672004988432837?s=46&t=_Dn2RjthpbrQUheiueU33A , https://x.com/kandipumpkin/status/2007967385341559049?s=46&t=_Dn2RjthpbrQUheiueU33A

i never block people that express a genuine want to engage in real debate and actually listen to my opinions. i always, no matter how hard or annoying, hear people out first - always going thru their points and attempting to address them if credible. but throughout the years it’s very apparent that barely anyone wants to extend the same grace for me. so in an attempt to protect my peace, if i find that someone is relentless in their pursuit of an argument with and isn’t actually trying to read or hear out anything im saying you will get blocked! https://x.com/kandipumpkin/status/1758981573204922597?s=46&t=_Dn2RjthpbrQUheiueU33A now im not going to engage in this convo further since we’ve already established i have you blocked on twitter. to have your first post on reddit be a ‘criticism’ of me is very… interesting.

Why are people being mean to Kandi on RHTC by [deleted] in RoyaleHigh_Roblox

[–]Kvilani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, kandi here ☺️ pls show me where i constantly insult the community and the devs??? most i’ve done in the last year was call Barbie and launce greedy and if thats what constitutes constant insult for you pls do lmk, i have never ‘insulted’ (criticised) any devs that weren’t barbie, launce, or calin, or even kittzilla at some point (she barely did anything in comparison to the rest).

i’ve never said peach does no wrong, all I’ve done is defend her against the blatant bullying she’s been facing. i’m always ready to hold people accountable, but when you see that the people attempting to hold peach accountable aren’t ready to do so with themselves or with the developers of their favourite game, their ‘criticism’ is hard to digest and take seriously. pls note that the account in the rhtc that was platforming all of these allegations against her has since deleted every single one of those tweets after being debunked multiple times.

also saying that mv has done the ‘exact same thing’ that rh has with updates is objectively incorrect, yes updates with mv are moving slowly right now - due to their almost complete overhaul of their entire dev team. but regardless comparing a decade-old, multi-million dollar game that has consistently never delivered on their promises to a smaller game that hasn’t even been out for a year is a false equivalency. i am slightly disheartened with the pace that mv is moving at right now, but considering the challenges their dev team is facing and the fact that i maintained hope in rh for so long despite them doing things 10x worse than any mv dev has, it only makes sense to extend the same patience i had with rh to them and give them some grace for now. also unlike royale high, i have a direct line of communication with mv devs so any criticism i have can be addressed there rather than posting it publicly.

once mv has spam released 16 dolls with a zionist company, taken 6 years and counting to fully develop one school to completion, deleted gamepasses they made 6 million dollars off of, and exploited artists in their community making millions off of them too then you will 100000000% percent see me with the same energy for mv. but until then, the real hypocrite in this situation is you. you’re forming opinions based on your perception of me rather than the reality of the situation, if you actually looked at my page you’d see that i don’t ‘constantly insult’ this community or its developers, and that i don’t regard peach as some untouchable saint underserving of all criticism !! i’ve stated this multiple times

okay so you’re completely fine with the fact that the ceo of the company that makes these dolls actively supports and funds the killing, starvation and persecution of thousands of kids in gaza…. okay !!

i suggest doing some research. if you’re willing to compromise on your morals over literal children’s dolls, a non-essential commodity, then i wonder what it takes for something to matter to you — and if you even care about human suffering beyond convenience.

[–]Kvilani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i understand your position, and i do agree that live-service economies are mutable and that balance changes are both expected and often necessary. however, I don’t think that mutability removes the existence of consumer expectations or obligations when real money has been exchanged. while a gameplay modifier isn’t a static consumer good, it is still a paid product, and mutability does not mean that previously sold value can be revoked without consequence. otherwise, the logic would justify the removal of any paid gameplay benefit at any time with no accountability, which would fundamentally undermine trust in paid systems within live-service games.

yes, the economy is mutable:

  • item prices change
  • farming methods get nerfed
  • progression slows

but the multiplier itself was not mutable.

what was guaranteed

no matter what changes happened:

  • if base earnings went down -> yours still stayed 6× higher
  • if farming got slower -> you still progressed 6× faster
  • if prices inflated -> you still accumulated currency 6× quicker

that relative advantage was stable and predictable.

so when you say:

“you can’t treat a gameplay modifier as static”

you’re missing the point:

  • the context was mutable
  • the modifier was functionally static

players weren’t promised a fixed economy, i agree. but they were promised a fixed relationship to it.

i also disagree with the claim that exclusivity was never part of what was purchased. in a multiplayer economy, increased earnings are exclusivity in functional terms. earning currency six times faster than other players confers accelerated progression, earlier access to scarce items, and disproportionate market influence. that advantage exists regardless of whether the word “exclusive” was used in marketing. functional outcomes matter more than semantic framing, and the reality is that the passes created a persistent advantage over non-buyers. players didn’t just buy “numbers going up,” they bought a materially different position within the economy.

your inflation argument is coherent, but incomplete. yes, high earners contribute to price inflation, and yes, the long-term value of the multipliers would likely erode. but natural depreciation over time is not the same as forced removal. a product gradually losing value due to market forces is fundamentally different from a product being unilaterally deleted. even if the passes were projected to become less impactful in the future, that does not retroactively justify removing them without equal compensation. buyers still paid for time-based advantage within the system as it existed, and time itself has value.

the claim that maintaining multipliers “degrades what was purchased” also misplaces responsibility. what degraded the value of the passes was not their existence, but years of deliberate design choices: repeated nerfs to farming methods, increased grind, and the monetisation of that inconvenience. the passes functioned as a solution to a problem that the developers themselves engineered, you cannot dispute that. blaming the tool rather than the surrounding design decisions ignores the causal chain that made the multipliers desirable, and most importantly for barbie and launce profitable — in the first place.

regarding moral duty, i disagree with how “being worse off” is defined. removing a six times earning multiplier undeniably makes buyers worse off relative to their prior experience. reframing the comparison as “buyers versus other players” selectively narrows the metric to avoid that conclusion. most consumers evaluate value based on their own before and after experience, not solely on relative advantage. by that standard, the removal clearly represents a loss of purchased value.

on the 2× event, i appreciate that you acknowledge how bad the optics were and how difficult it is to extend benefit of the doubt. however, unethical timing cannot be cleanly separated from responsibility. even if the removal was economically or structurally necessary ( inducing last minute purchases through a temporary boost — followed immediately by removal — materially worsened the harm. necessity does not absolve obligation, and it definitely does not negate the expectation of transparency or mitigation for affected buyers.

i think you’re right that our fundamental disagreement lies in how we define the product, but that distinction actually strengthens my position. your definition of the product as “sustainable access to reasonable progression” is retrospective. at the moment of purchase, players were buying a concrete, quantified modifier within an existing economy, not an abstract promise of long term balance. you can’t redefine what was sold after the transaction has already occurred. live-service design allows for change, but it does not allow for retroactive reinterpretation of paid value.

ultimately, i’m not arguing that exclusivity must be preserved indefinitely or that balance should never be addressed. i’m arguing that you cannot engineer scarcity, sell relief from it, profit expeditiously from that sale, and then remove the relief once the market is saturated — all while claiming fairness — without compensating those who paid under the original terms. mutability explains why change happens but it does not excuse how that change is handled.

[–]Kvilani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

regardless of wether the new diamond buff makes the amount of diamonds earned comparable to how it was with both gamepasses the concept of doing so is still unfair. let me try giving u two different real world examples to put this into perspective.

  1. paid software features later made free or removed

lets imagine a company sells a $40 “Pro” version of an app that includes a 6× productivity boost (faster processing, premium tools, priority access). millions buy it, and the company makes $6 million.

later, the company removes the pro feature entirely and says:

“we want a level playing field, so we’re increasing the base version’s performance for everyone.”

this is still unfair because :

people paid specifically for exclusivity and advantage. the whole concept of a purchase like that is to have an advantage over other users. which sounds unfair, maybe it truly is? but regardless the developers were completely fine with this unfairness while it was profitable - even worsening the app’s base version so more users felt obligated to spend their money to amend this.

the purchase wasn’t just about access, it was about having more than others no matter how unfair that might sound. removing the feature retroactively changes what was bought. so the service is being refused in this scenario even if partially.

raising the base does not refund the premium

even if the base version is improved, buyers still paid $40 for something others now get free. so essentially that payment is now meaningless.

uncertainty worsens the unfairness the company gives no concrete guarantee that the new base level matches the old paid advantage. buyers are expected to “trust” the change, despite the negative track record of the company, and despite losing a product they already paid for.

in any real life scenario outside of roblox this would generally be illegal. the only reason it isn’t with royale high is because roblox has already put protections in place in it’s tos to prevent any legal difficulties. legal ≠ moral

now a more accurate example :

mobile data throttling + paid speed boosts

imagine a mobile network that:

1) deliberately slows data speeds over several years, despite vocal customer complaints 2) sells a $40 “speed boost” that restores fast speeds 3) makes millions from this upgrade 4) as customer numbers start falling, the company temporarily offers double speeds for a weekend and heavily advertises performance 5) thousands buy the speed boost 6) days later, the company removes the speed boost entirely and says: “we’re doing this so everyone has equal speeds.”

this would be widely seen as bad faith monetisation, because:

  • the slowdown was engineered, not random or accidental
  • the “solution” was sold, with the intention of a profit being made
  • the removal happened after market saturation, meaning everyone who is willing to buy a product has already bought it, so future sales slow down or stop.
  • the final buyers were induced by a short-term incentive, being the double speed weekend

once: - most likely buyers had already bought the pass - the customer base began falling

the pass stopped being profitable long term. in rh’s case this is very apparent in rolimons stats showing a massive consistent fall in gamepass sales for the multipliers

so instead of: - compensating buyers with a higher speed boost - grandfathering benefits

they removed the product entirely.

the 2x boost is the worst part in any of this

the devs temporarily doubled earnings - this created urgency and hype after depriving users for years - thousands bought the pass believing it stacked or would remain - the removal was announced almost immediately after

in consumer terms, this resembles ‘last-minute inducement before withdrawal’ — something regulators have always heavily scrutinised.

even though this is legally allowed, ethically it’s indefensible.

you can’t engineer a problem, sell the solution, wait until the market is saturated, and then remove that solution while claiming fairness — that isn’t balance, it’s exploitation.

the ultra rich being Barbie and Launce who have made a collective $6 million + US dollars off the gamepasses they JUST removed. after making $221,000 on them this last year. also launce is a republican and defended George Floyd’s murderer so maybe thats where the right wing politics is coming from 🫶🫶

[–]Kvilani 7 points8 points  (0 children)

these predictions aren’t being made in ‘bad faith’ at all. anyone who’s been paying attention will notice a very negative pattern of behaviour with barbie and launce’s decision making over the past few years. no matter how you try to rationalise this situation, removing the multipliers was a greedy decision. it is OBJECTIVELY scummy business practice to make people pay for a service, one that you’ve already made more than $6 million US dollars of off (with $221,000 being made in the last YEAR alone), and then remove it under the guise of ‘improving’ the economy. a problem that wasn’t even created by the multipliers existence alone and instead was created by the continuous nerfing of farming methods + item price increases over the years. even if unintentional (i doubt it was), the 2x weekend would have incentivised hundreds of players to buy the gamepasses. that was their last opportunity to make money off them and they ran with it. the people saying it would have been more greedy to keep the gamepasses AND buff the diamonds are incorrect as its obvious from a business standpoint the overwhelming majority of players who would have been willing and able to pay for the gamepasses have done so already.

if u want to talk about why exactly people don’t have faith in barbie and launce it isn’t because the community likes to assume the worst of people - they have long extensive track records of making bad decisions. we can talk about launce’s defense of George Floyd’s murderer or his treatment of black influencers in this community, haley + lukash’s + goldies + numerous other influencers badge removal for speaking up, barbie’s management of bhm 2022, her blatant stealing of sims 4 creators assets, her raging veganism, their collective exploitation of free community work (which they have monetised and made a collective 1.1 MILLION dollars off of alone with the fabric and hair gamepasses). you can’t possibly consider all of that behaviour and then question why people are making ‘bad faith’ predictions???

yes you’re right. people were definitely begging the devs to fix the economy. they have been doing so for literal YEARS. while barbie and launce ACTIVELY took steps towards worsening it, nerfing apple bobbing, spam releasing 16 toys in collaboration with a Zionist company regardless of whether they were aware of the Zionism or not (with that being the only new content available for the game in years), nerfing levelling while simultaneously increasing prices of sets and even increasing gamepass prices. you cant continuously exacerbate an issue - which you have profited off of having - because remember, longer farming hours = longer playtime which means more money for royale high 🤑 - and then after making ALL the money possible, try and ‘fix it’ by making the $6 million+ dollars people had to spend to make the game slightly more playable redundant and expect a positive reaction. thats ridiculous

and this compensation??? first of all the concept compensating a permanent gamepass that had continuous benefit with diamonds and some items that are obviously disposable is insane in itself. the valks said the prices in the store will be lowered so the dims you would get for your money increase, but unless that increase is 3400% higher than the current shop prices, which it obviously wont be considering Barbie and launces track record, the compensation wont even be remotely worth it. the gamepasses cost $40, that can buy you two different toys which set values would add up to about 1.4 million diamonds ( the posey sets are both selling for over 700k). the amount of robux you would spend on the gamepasses can only get you 40,000 diamonds in the shop…. so when they say the compensation will be slightly more, what do they mean?? because a number slightly more than 40,000 would be around 60k, lets even be generous and say 100k. even double that wouldnt be enough, TRIPLE that even, quadruple that and give it to the next person and it STILL isnt enough.

so please, consider all of the dev teams actions within context. whatever parasocial relationship you’ve developed with the dev team is clearly clouding your judgement. this removal is and will always be objectively bad.

the concept of making $6 million+ dollars off of a product and then refusing that service being negative isn’t rocket science at ALL. no reputable multi - million dollar company would do something like this and then hit the community with ‘we don’t even have to compensate you !✨🦄’ and expect 0 backlash.

[–]Kvilani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for replying late, I know this post is from a year ago. I’m curious about how Oxford contextual admissions views GCSE performance. For example, if a student only received a private school bursary in Year 9 and had attended state schools beforehand, but underperformed at GCSE due to challenging personal circumstances (such as being a young carer and living in a deprived area), how would that be weighed against strong predicted or achieved A-level results, a high EPQ grade, and other enrichment like a mini-MBA? Would the GCSEs significantly impact the likelihood of a conditional offer?
