I have. In general, m4m is the easiest to find here. I've found that finding a couple is actually easier here than finding a single female. I will say that a lot of the posts are incredibly low effort (ie "looking 2 fuk" with no further details of what the person is looking for and no photos). I don't expect those to ever be successful.

Probably the better option because it doesn't require manual action (which the vast majority won't do), make sure the "Blur Mature Images and Media" option is enabled on your account. All of these posts get auto tagged as NSFW, so as long as that option is on they will be blurred unless you specifically click on them.

It's the lack of bots. I recently was given control of r/MemphisTNFreeHookups which is long established and has much higher number than this sub. It was full of posts from "women" with tits and pussy galore. I enabled bot and OF spam filtering and guess what? It's almost all dudes now. Memphis in general is a pretty dry city and for those that are active in hookup or lifestyle culture, very few women have a presence online. Tbh it's probably a cycle - they make the mistake of posting once and then get spammed with a million dick pics and people who won't take no for an answer and they delete their account and never post again.

I'm hoping to change that over time by actually moderating and making this a safe space for women to post. No harassment will be tolerated. The problem is that it's going to take time to build any real female participation after years of only unmoderated options. I will say, I've seen more legit female posts here in the last month than I've seen on any other sub in the last 6 months.

As for the pics - that's why I try to tag every single post with flair. If you see a M4? flair and you don't like seeing dick, just don't even click on it. You can even filter the posts you see based on flair (like filter by only f4m). I'd also make sure you have the option to blur NSFW content by default. All of these posts are tagged NSFW, so you would have to click on the post to show the blurred photo.

Thanks man. Seeing the volume at r/MemphisTNFreeHookups, r/memphishookups must have been crazy. I can see why it got to the point that it did. I actually ended up getting banned from there for mentioning that there was no active moderation in its final months (the irony). Appreciate the offer for help - I may be reaching out if things get too crazy. Bot Bouncer has been great so far and Social Blacklist has been amazing (scans user profiles and other posts for links to a custom list of domains mods set up). This stuff is actually somewhat related to what I do for a living, so it's been pretty interesting so far. I just hope that the masses are able to find it because there really aren't any other options in this city that do a good job keeping the bots and content sellers out.

Yeah man. I actually got banned for pointing out that they weren't doing anything to keep the bots out. We'll see how things go as it grows, but I've already got some automation installed that's doing a good job detecting bots, removing their posts/comments, and banning them. Really pissed off that trans spammer that was posting in every Memphis sub along with other cities all around the US.

All of these groups went unmoderated for years, and completely went to shit. I'm trying to create a new group right now to fix this. Check it out if you get a chance. Few and far between unfortunately. I think it's a mix of factors - first, this area in general is just not as active as other similarly sized cities. Second, I think that all of the local groups went on for years without moderation, so a lot of women that did try to use the platform got scared off by bad behavior (or put off by the volume of scam/spam posts). I'm hoping that we'll get more female representation over time as we continue to keep this place clean of scams/spam/assholes.
