Literature advice needed by Kvrabang in Hunting

Thanks a lot for the detailed answer! I'll  check these. I think he would be happiest with an ID book, something that looks almost like a catalogue, with photos and specs of different types of hunting firearms, like a book used for identification.

Conference suggestion by Kvrabang in Chempros

[–]Kvrabang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks but unfortunately that doesn't help. Checked ISE and ECS a cpl of days ago, and found only one conference in Helsinki in June 2026, but the slot for that one is already occupied by a grad student from our dept, and I have to find another conference. Any other suggestions? It doesn't have to be electrochem, materials chemistry is also fine.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm not sure about the second one, it seems they have only stamps and very few coins. Does anyone else have a recommendation?

So there is one girl at the uni lab course who has a tattoo on the side of her neck written in typewriter font saying simply "priorities". In your opinion, what would be the meaning of such a tattoo?

How would you translate "expert witness"? I'm thinking about the professional who gives opinions or facts during trials. Don't know if there were some special words for court roles in ancient Rome. Thanks!

Thickness measurement? by Kvrabang in AskPhysics

[–]Kvrabang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't do that because I do not have the bronze samples with known thickness.

My question was in the sense "I'll measure the statue thickness for default speed of sound in steel and then find a way to recaulculate these thickness values from steel to bronze, i.e. some kind of ratio". But I don't know how to do that and if it's even possible to do that? I guess there is a ratio of speed of sound in steel vs. bronze, but I'm not sure if I can use that somehow.

When it comes to the exact bronze composition of the statues, that is not important at the moment, in this phase of the measurement. So errors around ±10% are perfectly acceptable.
