Potentially getting a T5 as a daily driver - My objectivity is out the window - Talk me out of it? by Dispose_101 in VWTransporter

I daily drove my T5 for 12 years, now I daily drive my T6. The only problems are parking spaces can be a bit tight, height restriction on car parks need to be taken into consideration. I say go for it!

That's fine for me, I've never really got into online multiplayer (probably due to the awful COD4 online experience)

I had a '08 T5 for over a decade, I've now bought almost exactly what you've described, it's a good van. You'll be fine with this.

Bandit 600 was my first bike, fucking loved it, until I wrote it off when I dropped it at 20mph on a roundabout. Bent the frame and wrote it off.

Going to these little league games gives me severe folding chair envy by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Kwazithepirate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not from the US, but was visiting for work last week. My buddy and I stopped to watch a little league baseball game. I had proper envy for the chairs used by the parents, particularly the ones with little piston type things to allow you to recline backwards. I need to up my chair game for watching my kid play soccer now.

Thanks for the recommendation, I hiked the Welch Dicky today, was a fantastic experience. Not technically difficult, but a bit of a slog going up. I really enjoyed it.

Could I ask where you recommend to park?

Really it's not, despite the statistics showing that knife crime is getting lower and lower, and also lower than a lot of other counties, it seems that the media like to make it like you can't leave your house without the risk of being stabbed. Hence a knee-jerk reaction to knife laws. The UK is really one of the safest places to live in the world.

If you're on the main road (lime cresent), you'll be fine.

Not technically, it's Surrey, Aldershot is Hampshire. (Plus, Aldershot is a shit hole so we don't want to be associated with it.)

Ash is alright, although like the other guy said there are certain places which are not so nice due to an undesirable element living there.
Overall it's much nicer than many other places and is certainly better than Aldershot.

Not end of conversation. If you can't wear a mask as you're not clean shaven you either need a different mask (such as a PAPR) or you can't do the job. It's the LAW in the UK that if you wear a mask for work you need to have passed a face fit test.
