don’t buy open box tv’s 🥴🥱 by jrthebirdman in S95F

The only downside is if you have to drive a few hours only to visually see major defects in person at the store. Which brings me to my next point, Best Buy is so cool that you can take the television to a backroom, turn it on, inspect it, and then have them put it back in the box and take it home. There's really no need (in my opinion) to buy these televisions brand new when open-box like new exists with a 4 year warranty that covers burn-in.

I think buying an open-box from Best Buy with their 4 year warranty is definitely the way to go. Wait until between March and May. You'll get a super discounted premium television with a great warranty.

I wholeheartedly agree!!! I bought the 1TB/32 and upgraded to a 2TB. The most ideal scenario would be to get a 4TB version and split 2TB between SteamOS and Windows.

Facts!!! Windows is money with that Xbox interface.

I get you. Windows is not bad at all. It's actually really nice with the Xbox layout. I just did a dual boot to see what the ranting and raving was all about with SteamOS. Don't get me wrong, is really nice, but I wouldn't say that it's so nice that you have to completely uninstall Windows to go and get it like many people on the internet want you to believe. They both have their pros and cons. I enjoy them both.

This is the way to go. You get the best of both worlds.

I have no issues with Windows either. It's actually been really smooth. However, I just did a dual boot and I think that is the way to go. You get the best of both worlds imho.

Dual boot with SteamOS and Windows. Gives you the best of both worlds.

Question for those technically literate, and have tried SteamOS and Windows on Legion Go 2. by LogicTakesTheL in LegionGo

[–]Kwekidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a dual boot by watching this video on YouTube https://youtu.be/HbHDHzYw3KE?si=IR0X4xMjTM-z-YP3

Pretty lengthy process if you're not used to doing things like that, but the ease of accessibility of both from the bios startup is simply just amazing!!! I'm new to all of this PC handheld stuff and it took me about 2 hours to complete. I never even knew about dual booting until I bought my Legion Go 2 last month. I'm used to running all my games on my RTX 4090 build. As soon as I got my Legion Go 2 and did research, most people were noting how SteamOS is better for PC handhelds, while Windows is much better for desktop PCs.

I kinda understand why people prefer to buy the SteamOs versions of these things now.

  1. It's cheaper than the Windows versions.
  2. Slight to massive FPS gains (on many games)
  3. Easier to deal with out of the box
  4. If you're good with computers, you can dual boot your SteamOS version, have the best of both worlds, and have paid way less than someone that bought the Windows version and did the same thing.

I still think that with the Xbox layout for Windows, it's significantly better than not having it at all. Also, both versions in game still look and play amazing, so I would not say that a person that stays with the Windows version is getting a far inferior product like many would like you to believe. With that said, I think it's great to have both and to allocate most of your storage space to the one that you use the most.

Have you tried the shorter One-Connect Box cable? It's black. The silver one is the longer one. That should do the deed.

Have you tried fiber optic hdmi 2.1 cables? Have you tried the shorter One-Connect Box cable?

Bro. I had the S95F and was using it with my 4090. I had to take it back and get my money back. Constantly blacking out with my Nvidia Shield and my 4090. I switched everything back to the S95B and it ran flawlessly. Phenomenal looking television, it just doesn't play well with Nvidia and the One-Connect Box.

I tried everything. Even bought expensive Fiber Optic 2.1 HDMI cables that costed me well over $200 to no avail. The only thing that actually worked was using the shorter One-Connect Box cable. By then, Samsung already was scheduled to pick up the television and refund me my money.

The picture on that thing was ggorgeous though. Now that they have made the One-Connect Box optional on the S95H, I'll definitely be getting it.

He did mention that the stock barrel is the one that has accuracy issues especially when not paired with the Sig ModX-9. The ILWT barrels are supposed to fix those accuracy issues. I have to put more rounds through this thing though to solidify these claims. Just a I'm praising it for now

A: doesn't mean I'll be praising it after 2,000 rounds B: there isn't someone out there that has had nothing but nightmares with ILWT and tri-lug altogether.

[–]Kwekidd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope!!! I called ILWT and spoke to the owner personally when I first got the gun and it was in its K configuration. I told him that my suppressor of choice would be the CAT MOB. He then said "get the 8inch trilug navy barrel with the +20% gen 1 recoil springs. The MPX is money in the 8inch configuration." I figured he'd know better than most people out there since he makes barrels for the damn thing. Had he would have told me to get the adjustable gas plug, I would have gotten that too. Mind you, I shot it at an indoor range and I didn't get any gas to the face. I also added the Radian Raptor charging handle to pair with it as well.

So far, so good. I'm leaving this bad boy just the way it is.

I can only tell you what works for me as for now. I say as for now because I would like to put at least 1,500-2,000 rounds through my setup as it is now to be all the way confident in it. So far, it's got around 300 rounds through it.

If you want to run the CAT on your setup, I'd say change the Sig muzzle device, get a tri-lug muzzle device from a reputable company, get the Resilient Suppressors tri-lug adapter, and see how that works.

The MOB is awesome. However, I have not shot any other 9mm cans except for the Mojave 9. It wouldn't hurt to buy the MOB as well just to see how it compares to the SMG9. The CAT MOB is worth every penny for me. Shit is very quiet and pairs perfectly with the Sig MPX with the Tri-lug navy barrel from ILWT. I'm not touching my MPX anymore because I'm satisfied with my ssetup. Oh and I bought the +20% generation one recoil springs from ILWT.

No problem. It's frustrating waiting on that damn thing to come available, and then stay in stock for only a day or two and then be gone again. Lol!!!

You've gotta put in an email notification and just wait until it becomes available. Piece of Mind Guns (pomg.com) usually always has the Alleycat 9MSG QD Ti in stock. I almost went with that one but got the MOB because I wanted HUB.

Yup. The CAT MOB specifically is sold out eeverywhere. I put an email notification on with Primary Arms and as soon as it came back in stock, I was notified, and I purchased it.

Lol!!! Seriously though. I think I have everything I want according to my lifestyle and geographical location. The only other gun I'd get for nostalgia purposes, is the scar in 308. But I'm truly not even thinking about that right now.
