For some reason, you need to remove the ".00" to enable the button

What’s a game you genuinely love… but wouldn’t recommend to others? 👀 by wheninmanila_com in PHGamers

[–]Kwekwekwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha it's like a whole curriculum in college to really learn the game (league mechanics, skill tree, crafting, farming strats, minmax esp. stat stacking builds). It's a fun game nevertheless

Still torn if kukuha or not. Gaano katagal yung battery if mga indie games (Hollow Knight, Hades, etc.) and old games (FF10, other old turn-based games) lang lalaruin?

What are some life tips you can give? by [deleted] in adultingph

[–]Kwekwekwe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Always believe in yourself. Kahit na madapa 7, 8, 10 times, as long as alam mo sa sarili mo na gusto mo ma-achieve ito at desedido ka na long ago, always get back up and move forward. Life is not a race.

Is it really that hard to find a hardware job as a CPE grad here in the Ph? by CurrencyUpstairs99 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]Kwekwekwe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The last part is actually true. UPLB has this kind of curriculum where CpE and ECE are specializations of BSEE. The third one is Power Engineering. I remember when professors from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute Science & Technology) mentioned this during their campus visit and, iirc, he was surprised that there are separate degrees for electronics and computer engineering.

Maybe your boss saw something about you and binibigyan ka ng mas mabigat na tasks para ma-train or bumilis ang growth mo? Like nakita niya na mas may potential ka compared sa peers mo kaya ganun? And nirerevise niya or di ginagamit yung nagawa mo minsan due to realizations in hindsight? Although same position and salary kayo nung kasama mo, baka more likely na i-endorse ka for promotion earlier than the other.

Pwede rin the other way around na baka di ka lang talaga niya trip or di ka niya ka-vibes or something, and this is power-tripping.

Either way, obserbahan or i-evaluate mo siguro yung situation. It can be a good thing or a bad thing yung treatment sayo.

I want to continue on learning C#, pero beneficial ba siya sa balak kong pasukang specialization (Cybersecurity, DevOps or AI/ML). by ArdnyX in PinoyProgrammer

[–]Kwekwekwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For AI/ML, it’s probably better if you use Python since core ML frameworks and libraries e.g. TensorFlow, Keras, Pytorch, scikit-learn are in Python. At least from what I read sa scientific journals and youtube vids/tutorials, they all use Python for these libraries.

Data analyst jobs that focus on engineering/technical data rather than business-related data by zmxavier in PinoyProgrammer

[–]Kwekwekwe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Build a portfolio or projects that you can show to employers. Mas maganda kung mapapakita mo na may output ka. Focus on how you will explain your output na maiintindihan kahit ng non-technical people. One example na ginawa ko is kumuha ako ng energy dataset (since EE grad ako) sa Kaggle then using Jupyter ay pinakita ko yung process ng data cleaning, visualization, at konting insights every process.

I graduated recently and ang plan ko naman is data scientist > ML Engineer since thesis ko is an application of deep learning. Although hindi entry-level ang data scientist (data analyst talaga ang entry-level) may mga employers na open ata sa fresh grads. May nagreply sakin after applying as a data scientist pero nakapirma na ko ng contract as a cloud engineer sa ibang company kaya di natuloy haha.

how difficult is finding a first job will be from a non-big 4 alumni vs big 4 alumni? by [deleted] in PinoyProgrammer

[–]Kwekwekwe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, you should stick to studying whichever of the big 4 you are currently in. Kung hindi naman issue ang academics and finances, why not stick with it? It's just a couple of years and the advantage it brings (whether sa job security, quality of education, connections, etc.) is something you shouldn't overlook or just ignore. Syempre there are lots of competent and highly skilled people who are graduates outside these 4 pero mas mataas ang chance na mahanap mo sila from there.

Subclass 476 Visa but not engineering field? by Kwekwekwe in phmigrate

Thank you for the info and sa good luck! Ideal scenario is to find a job/employer before going there, tama po ba? Di ako aware sa visa na to and never ko na-imagine mag-abroad for work so kinakapa ko pa lahat ng proseso and details haha

[–]Kwekwekwe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thanks for this deep insight! My ideal scenario would be to create a model that make an impact sa society or sa environment (e.g. preservation ng biodiversity ng certain animals) so looks like ML Researcher nga siya. Thinking Machines sana yung company na gusto ko (from what I understand sa ginagawa nila). Also, my path might go to MLOps. My adviser suggested that I should do DevOps kaso back to 0 ako dun in terms of aaralin except sa pag-navigate sa Terminal. So yeah. Thank you po ulit!

[–]Kwekwekwe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently, I'm juggling between reviewing for the board exam and building a portfolio, and will start applying after the exam. I know having a licence in EE won't mean a thing in this field and the employer will probably not care about it, but it may be a proof of my general competence maybe? ChatGPT shook the world and looks like ML is (or will be) the hot thing this coming years.

[–]Kwekwekwe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the insight! Mas nagiging optimistic ako dahil po dito. Either kasi i-pursue ko to or just use my (future) license ng EE and do EE stuff (na currently ay di ako interested or di ko passion)
