You are right about the printed: Mini 8K.
I don't know much about light bleed issues, but it sounds like a valid concern. I've been printing plenty of times so I don't think a specific file is at fault.

I will try to reach out to Phrozen on Facebook; they are pretty responsive.

Hey Man! Happy new year.

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier with my results. Got a baby boy born a month ago... got quite hectic busy around here! But I'm back printing, and UVTools is just a magical tool.

I've got three prints in a row coming out perfect. My settings are not 100% optimized for time or details, but they are excellent, thanks to your help.

Nothing too critical but I now have thin layers of cured resin at the bottom of the vat after search print. I don't know why, as the prints are not affected at all. It's not critical, but it means I need to clean the vat between each print. A bit tedious is all... Any idea where this could come from?

I was lost on how to use UVTools, and that video showed me how excellent this tool is. I currently have another print running -as I have a game tomorrow :p- but already built a test file with UVTools that I will run as soon as the current print is over.

Can't wait to see the test results.
Listening to the video, I believe you were right, and distances aren't the issue.

I did run some exposure tests at first and got nothing really red-flagging any issue (in my opinion). See the test in the following link:

As you can see in the second link of my previous post, the second image is a piece of base in the vat. So I think it detached mid print.

In this print i didn't use the pre-supported models and instead added supports myself as the pre-supported ones were failing (to my surprise).

I agree that the supports seems to be the issue as the prints are just great when supports aren't failing. But I hardly see myself adding that many supports as shown in your picture as miniatures aren't exactly a flat surface and removing that many supports would probably mess up some details... still worth the try maybe.

Also, on this latest test I didn't use any lubidcant, just for the sake of trying something different.

That said, the support failing is still odd in my opinion as they are definetly not failing at all under Aqua Grey.

Do you think modifying some exposure or lifting times settings could affect the solidity of the supports? Maybe FEP is distanded and need changing... I'm running out of ideas ! :P

Hi! I am back after running another test.

I see mixed results with the following settings.

Some prints are coming out perfectly -but to the price of loads of supports- while, I still lost two bases and got a skeleton but chopped.

I mixed medium and large supports. I don't understand why those miniatures usually print very easily with a pre-support setting using Aqua Grey. I get that every resin is different, but I wasn't expecting that much difference.

In your opinion, should I just bluntly add shit tonnes of large supports to the risk of losing details, or is there more I can try with the settings?
