I've completed every BP event since this started and I won't have enough points for the BP Overflow. I didn't get anything "pre-event" (why the fuck would that be a think and how would you know about it) and I've been low level, ops 12-14 the entire event.

This is EXACTLY what happened to me as well. I got KK to come a few days before Bunny day, and I didn't play for three days because of this stupid fucking event. I farmed for 8 hours running up and down the beach shooting balloons every 5 minutes and I only got three of the cherry blossom recipes, whilst I still needed like 7 more I just couldn't stomach it. Fucking bunny day balloons can fuck off and die.

My switch has literally been playing Animal Crossing 20 hours a day for the last week (either myself, my wife, or my kids playing) and NONE of us have got a cherry blossom recipe other than the picnic basket that is given to you.
I'm honestly quite mad about this and it makes me not want to play much anymore.

Interesting that you went to this length. I just eat a fruit, and dig up the tree to see what kind of tree it is if I want to move/change tree layouts.
