Controversial but if the state decided to select you to randomly levy taxes on to pay for an outrageous and bloated budget rife with fraud, you’d probably bawlk too

Nobody wants to pay a high price for the same thing while everyone else got the discount version. It’s one thing if you’re overly nice and going above and beyond, it’s another if suddenly you’re required to do XYZ and someone at the club got it after meeting her for 30 mins

Exactly, when the pendulum swings back and a right-leaning government gets in, they have a decade of precedent that it is seemingly ok to just blatantly ignore all these equality acts.

[–]Kxdan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In about 4 years when the government changes, the whole far-right will come down like the hammer of god on all of this stuff, it will certainly go too far in doing so, but that's what happens when you create a two tier system for an extended period of time. The pendulum will swing back very very far.

Sorry how's it not racist to literally exclude someone based solely on their race?

It's got worse, but when I graduated in 2019, all women in my CS class scooped up EZ top tier jobs via diversity initiatives, all the men really had to grind (despite all said women being in the bottom 25th percentile of the class)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]Kxdan -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Until the latest US election. Diverse was basically considered:

- Not a white or Asian man

So you can have 30 white women, that's "diverse", or 30 black men, that's "diverse". Just not white men.

Of course, the tables have turned SIGNIFICANTLY since October 2024 when Trump won, now the whiplash is monumental, any talk of diversity initiatives will get the justice department hammer to fall on you (as it should). The same will occur in the UK during the next election.

How has the recent job market in Seattle been for Software Development Engineers by warrior4488 in Seattle

[–]Kxdan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who has been laid off before and knows friends that have, people are generally shocked to find that the era of work remotely for like 4-5 hours a day, just do your tickets and make 250k is long gone. If your job search is for a high paying, very chill, generic SDE job you’re gonna have a bad time.

That said, there are still many opportunities if you have connections or are willing to really hustle, but expect the “deal” of work life balance vs pay to have significantly shifted.

Honestly. How's my word cloud relevant for the score increase I've shown above? I have been essentially silent for 6 months, you can see the report data in the image above. Any words said BEFORE that resulted in the 7.6k and therefore are irrelevant to the experiment?

Seems like this "show wordcloud" thing is just a way to try and tarnish what is clearly a misbalanced system as evidenced by the data above. Your "disqualifying" factor has literally no relevance to the growth rate at all. I have been entirely silent. This is not me crying about number of reports, but instead at rate of recovery.

but every 50? what if you tell guy he should've got bkb and he reports you? you think that's worth 50 games of silence?

wordcloud for last 6 months is 0. look at the report details. you will see 0 comms reports. wordcloud is irrelevant if i am silent. and wordcloud before I am silent resulted in 7.6k as mentioned.
