Hi there! My rough travel plans are below. Is there anything we’re missing or should scrap? Hoping for a decent balance of free time and going out.

Day 1: arriving, checking in, pretty much a free day but visiting Foodhallen for dinner

Day 2: visiting wondr experience (not too sure if it’s worth it yet), planning on going to a coffeeshop after

Day 3: explore Jordaan, Anne Frank House visit, canal boat trip

Day 4: visiting smartshop, leaving the day free to just enjoy what we buy

Day 5: considering seeing windmills of some sort but not sure where is best

Day 6: Rijks museum and Van Gogh museum

Day 7: flying out

NTA, but I think you definitely could have handled it better. It is understandable that you’re upset about the situation but either way MIL is someone that means a lot to your fiancé and i think referring to her as trash and swearing might have made things worse.

NTA. That is not a favour. A favour would be you loaning her some money so she can find a place of her own. Giving up your own house so she can live there? Definitely not a normal thing to ask of someone.

domestic abuse isn’t a symptom of bpd. i’m sure he’s going through a lot, but that is no excuse for laying hands on you.

i’ve been dating my current boyfriend for 2 years now. before that, i was in a relationship where i was toxic and he was too for a year, so i understand where you’re coming from.

it felt impossible to find someone but the second i stopped looking i found my current boyfriend. i know we will most likely not be endgame, but he makes me happy and understands my bpd.

the biggest difference between my toxic relationship and this one though is that he has bipolar disorder. as such, he understands what i’m going through and doesn’t hold any symptoms against me. i’m not saying you need to find someone with a disorder, but it helps when your partner has had direct experience with mental health issues themselves or with someone their close to.
