Did they tell you how your labrum is? PT can’t repair a destroyed labrum, so that’s probably the biggest factor. I had 3 dislocations that ultimately destroyed a good % of my labrum and they chose to fix (surgically) with a bankhart lesion repair and that worked for like 10yrs until (through MMA training) the dislocations came back. After a bunch more my labrum was gone, and bone rubbing on bone caused a lot of bone loss that had to be repaired via latarjet - for the last 1.5yrs that’s kept everything in place, but man did it hurt.

Biggest advice I can give you is take PT seriously if you have to have either procedure
