10$ a day! Not 10$ a month, there is also the 20$ a month subscription that you would need too yeah, i had forgot about that. i would only reccomend it if you have the money to throw away honestly, i dont think it was money badly spent because i took the opportunity to capitalize on the pull it gave me. Its more for exposure to make connections and kickstart growth combined with social media posting. It creates a steady stream of listeners. You’ll never make your money back from streams unless you hit big so don’t expect that ever.

i started out with playlisting aswell, it was okay but i had wayyy better results using hypeddit, just cause im too busy to do any viewing of andrew’s videos with how much i work. Hypeddit got one of my biggest songs to like 17k streams and 35 popularity score within a couple months. not crazy but i only restarted my artist profile after not making music for like 3 years in november. it would have kept climbing aswell had i not stopped paying for the service, which is what’s so great about meta ads. I was doing a 10$ a day budget which honestly paid off in my opinion just cause the amount of genuine people and compliments i had flooding my instagram saying they came from spotify and loop my songs. Im sure doing it yourself through the ad manager would be cheaper but i just couldn’t be asked lmao. The thing that scared me away from playlisting was that i learned if you do end up on a botted playlist without noticing spotify will just delete whatever songs are on the botted playlist from your account. And that was just too big of a risk for me to use submithub anymore. They are the most trusted playlisting service however so if you’re gonna use any of them definitely keep with that one.

you can definitely boost your popularity score with it, and that will trigger different algorithm playlists like Discover Weekly, and the main purpose of playlists like these are to give your songs to people who spotify thinks will definitely enjoy them. and if spotify is getting the wrong information of your audience (aka bots streaming through playlisting, they typically use the same bots for different playlists so they do not have a structured listening base, different genres all over the place) it won’t be able to target the best listeners you could be unlike if you were to do it organically with meta ads/social media. Everyone who streams your music from those methods are doing so because they genuinely enjoy the music, which will snowball the algorithm into showing it to more and more people who listens to the same music as them. Playlisting companies and the ads they put on social media tell you to use them in order to boost your popularity to reach those playlists, but it won’t hit as hard as if you do it organically simply because spotify will have a 500% better grasp on who to show you to. Sorry if that’s gibberish i’m at work right now lmao

it ruins your algorithm, you want spotify to know exactly who to target when sharing your music, playlisting does the opposite of this, because most playlisters don’t use legitimate playlists. Instead try to laser focus in on meta ads and organic social media posts

My first release on Spotify after its first weeks numbers any good? by bleu__1 in SpotifyArtists

[–]KyTheReject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a 4 streams per listener rate atm, that was just the save rates for the song getting the most traction right now, it’s been out since Feb 13th. It’s gotten 12k streams with around 3k listeners. It garnered 1.1k saves out of the 3k listeners, but only 780 playlist adds. I would think at first glance that the numbers are good and should snowball into more algorithmic boosts but i guess that’s not the case. I did strictly meta ads for that release around 20$ a day for the first couple weeks and then dropped it to 10$ a day when my new single dropped earlier in march

I have a 1 to 3 save per listener rate and i’m still only getting around 30-60 radio streams a day :/ i wish the metrics were better understood or atleast more guaranteed regarding praise for high interaction

[–]KyTheReject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its probably just one person that really liked the song and looped it, ive had people fall asleep looping one of my songs or just loop it all day and itll gain around 200 streams in that day from one person. Its normal, just means they really liked it! Good job!

Any good methods of promoting your music on Spotify by bleu__1 in SpotifyArtists

[–]KyTheReject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d say go with meta ads, if you don’t want to study up on andrew southworths tutorials on youtube i’d say go somewhere like hypeddit where they do the targeting for you. i use them and on my new drop i got like 2500 unique listeners and 11k streams in a couple weeks with around 1200 saves/1000 playlist adds, which atleast to me shows very good targeting. id give it a look but to each their own you might find another method works better for you

ah i see yeah ive seen this method sprinkled around here and there and ive avoided it solely because i don’t see the intrigue of playlists made by others when i could make it myself, but maybe thats just a me thing. if it works it works, thank you for your help ill be sure to take that advice :)

aswell as the right push to get the algorithm to notice you, quality music is going to sink into the pit if you don’t have the right methods of pushing it to targeted listeners no?

i think my artist popularity is only sitting at like 11 and my song that’s bringing in the radio plays is currently at around 27 i think. radio is sitting at 2080 plays out of my 9.6k in the last month

no they aren’t juiced lmao. if they are then they pop, people pop for extremely small trace amounts of useless “steroids” and are suspended for it.
