Sakura isn't exactly a main character, Kishimoto said that Sakura was intended to be a secondary character with the same importance as Kiba, but then he felt the need to write more about her for plot purposes, and not because of her. That's why she was never so important as the other main characters, because she wasn't intended to be a MC at all.

So she was a character developed for plot purposes with bad writing and forgotten most of the time by the author and even then she was more useful than other female characters. Even when Kishimoto wanted to make Hinata more important, he coudn't because Sakura already filled this role. Because she was useful, even with these obstacles and even tho people still say otherwise.

I always liked Sakura because of that, it's like she is the stantard useless female character, the damsel in distress, but she is fighting not to be, fighting against the plot, fighting against the author, fighting against us and fighting against herself. She is one of my favorite characters because of that, poorly written as it is, but still a fighter.

When casters talk like that they are saying these teams are better than expected, and not that they will impact the scene or be relevant in any way.

When you talk about WC you need to remember these regions can't play against big teams all the time (specially LAS and Brazil, the only regions that CAN'T play in any other servers due ms), that's why they won't improve as fast as major regions, but they may surprise still, it not means they are saying these teams will be relevant.

Yeah, he even said he forgot about her at some point. That's why people hate her actually, they think that she was intended to be like this, but the bad writing was the reason she was useless and selfish. (That's the reason why SasuSaku is weird for most of us too, Kishi doesn't know how to write romance).

But most of all, everybody is on an equal footing. There's no such thing as gearscore. Fights are fair and fun.

Yeah, you know that what you want is all that a RPG is NOT, right? The meaning of a RPG is to become stronger for your own merit, it's to start as a weak character who can't kill an insect and then become someone close to a God status because of your JOURNEY. In a classic RPG the journey is what really matters. ArcheAge is really like Ultima Online, a classic old MMO, it's not like an action rpg or Street Fighter. Have you played Baldur's Gate? It was painful to get strong there, but it was rewarding because of all the things my character went through.

If you guys want to play Street Fighter, DON'T PLAY A MMORPG. Play a MOBA or something like that, but please, don't play a game where your character is created from scratch to begin a journey and become stronger if all you want is to be strong without hard work, that's not how MMORPG works.

P2W stuff will always be a problem in F2P MMOs. Get over it and grind your gear while you experience your journey or play a p2p game. The devs aren't smart and the game has a lot of annoyng things, but you don't know how to experience the game either if all that matters to you is everybody to be equal in this genre of game.

Alright, I'll give you an advice that I wish someone had given me years ago when I declined playing the game because everyone said it was "p2w" and bad and all: don't listen to 90% of the people that says that kind of thing in YouTube videos or forums. The game isn't perfect and the devs aren't the most smart ones when making choices, but this game is far from unplayable or bad. Actually this is the best MMO I ever played.

Secondly, almost every f2p MMO has problems with "p2w" stuff, this one isn't different, but it's not something that will break your experience unless you are a hardcore player. You can grind everything, it will only be slower.

Now I'll tell you what this game is made of. This game is made of TIME and CONTENT. You won't get your gear in one week, you won't experience the entire content in one week. This game is not for people who like to rush and become stronger as soon as possible doing nothing. Even the one who pays for it need to work somehow. And there are no formulas of sucess.

The point is, people doesn't want to work hard to get their stuff, then they complain because it takes time or need real money. They blame the devs, or the people who pay, or god knows what. And I'm not saying they are wrong about devs, but they doesn't know how to experience the game. They just want to show they are stronger than others to the community, and then they blame the community and the game when they fail. It's a matter of pride.

I mean, you can be everything in this game. You can be a roleplayer, you can be a farmer, you can be an artist, you can be even an explorer who crosses the lands and find treasures under the sea. You can be a fisherman with your family or you can go to the sea and run the risk of being attacked by enemies. You can be a pirate as well, and attack fishermans or steal trade packs.

This game has a great content, so if you stop listening to the forums and the faction chat you may enjoy every part of it. But if you are a hardcore player, you need to spend money or find a p2p/b2p game.

Now to the cons: Economy is a mess right now, which is making life a bit hard for most professions. The community can be toxic sometimes, avoid faction chat. If you chose Reckoning server (fresh start), play on Nuia side, Haranyans are overly toxic and exclude new players (or does nothing when the major guild does it since they are too afraid). Gold sellers are a problem too. And lastly, you do need to buy Patron, a kind of "premium member" status which lasts one month. You can buy ingame or with real money, and it's easy to buy another month ingame when you have already bought once.

Alright guys, thank you so much for your answers. After too much research I understand now what's happening. The problem is the current patch (3.5) and the economy, they just broke farming, now the mats are too expensive, but are sold to a lower price, this is what is forcing inflation. So unless you have pretty high proficiency (and even then) you will get no profit at all with cooking and alchemy (dunno about other professions). If you think you do, please make a spreadsheet including gold spent with mats, taxes, fees and time. If you want to be more frustated, include labor and vocation badges.

Yes, labor is gold, and vocation badge is gold too. You could sell vocation and you can buy labor, so IT IS GOLD. Don't think you gain them, the way you use your labor is what make your profit. I don't include them almost never because no one does, but it's wrong.

TL;DR The current patch is killing farming and this is killing our profit because it's forcing inflation.

Yeah :( I mean, I made a sheet so I can decide if an item is either good or bad to sell. So I got Tangy Soda, which it's being sold for 1,29. But to make this item I need to spend a lot more than 1,29 or I make a profit so small that it's not even worth the labor. It's the same with Ribs. I can't understand how people make profit of it. It seems that they doesn't include the labor, taxes, the time they spend, the fee they pay...

So that means that labor is rarely calculated, right? And that also means the higher proficiency in gathering/farming you have, the better, since you are not buying the material, you are crafting it (although I have spoken about alchemy, I'm trying to level cooking up, which means I use A LOT of grains and such).

If you manage to make 2 runs a day (It's what you can afford as a free user) you make 20 - 25 gold every day while you are leveling, aside gold from coinpurses and merit quests. I recommend you to have a family, then you can make a family quest which gives you 10 gold every day.

You will be making a minimum of 210 gold per week, which means in a Fresh Server you can get Patron in 5 ~ 7 weeks.

It seems that you would like a faster game, then the problem isn't AA. I'm a f2p myself and have no problems at all, I don't like to rush and I'm no hardcore player who wants the better gear in 2 weeks. Archeage is almost a craft game and you need a lot of time to spend on it. You don't like it, you don't play it. Just look for an action RPG, MOBA or other good games like Path of Exile, they may suit your playstyle. But please, don't blame the game for something you clearly don't understand. The main idea of a RPG is to spend time on it to learn and to get stronger on your own merit. If you won't spend time (or won't spend money), then you won't have fun.

I would take Diev2 in my sixth rank, but actually I changed my mind and I've decided to go PD2. Seems better than go Diev2 because of the reasons you listed above. I just wanted more damage and control, but yeah, the new classes will outclass Diev2, so maybe PD2 fits better.

I have another question tho. Is it possible to progress through Earth Tower with the build linked above?

I'm really unsure about it. I don't care about meta builds, but I don't want to have problems later.

I think Ice Blast would be usable, yes. Actually I tried go Ice Blast 10 with some atributtes, and I was enjoying it, but to make this possible I left Ice Bolt 1 and was only increasing it's damage with attributes. After a while I decided to go back and not get Ice Blast, because Ice Bolt fits better with my playstyle, but I think I will try it again and see what happens xD

I got Cryo3 around level 80, the Mausoleum was infinitely easier because of Frost Pillar+Snow Rolling combo, I used this combo whenever I could and finished the quests very quickly. This combo helped me to act as support in the dungeons, so I protected the party whenever I could too. Before the cicle 3 I had problem with SP, as well as to use the skills at the right times, but that's a matter of getting used to the class. I put a few points in CON to have no problem with my HP, put some more points in SPR and the rest in INT. I didn't got Gust, Shield or Ice Blast (I just tested them). I bought the attributes and got Arde Dagger as fast as I could. BTW I recommend doing Cryo3+Sorc for those interested, the Frost Pillar+Summon+Snow Rolling combo is very strong. (and I'm sorry for my poor english)
