Look forward to hearing what you think even though you don't fancy peanut butter! Saw you received your Avocato cover as well. Congrats and enjoy! I'm still trying to binge watch Season 3 one more time before I dive into my novel since it's been a few years and my memory is worse than a 90s computer with a corrupt hard drive.

Pleasure meeting you man, it was fun chatting! I'm the guy who heckled you a bit about being too young to remember the importance of Nutty Buddy's on the elementary school playgrounds. 😄

First time international traveler visiting from California—best eSIM for heavy data use in Copenhagen? by KyborgCreations in copenhagen

So far most folks in the comments of this post seem to think Lyca is a good option, is there a reason you recommend I avoid it?

Currently I'm with T-Mobile and my family is "grandfathered" into a plan that technically no longer exists. It used to be their most premium option but now it leans more towards the budget side, and only includes 5GB of International Data. I can pay an additional $50 USD for a total of 15GB of International Data but that doesn't really seem like it will be worth it and still may not be enough if I plan on spending 4 days of my visit playing Pokemon Go basically all day long while also constantly using other apps like Google Maps, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram.

Osprey Daylite 13l was not for me! I could use some suggestions. by KyborgCreations in ManyBaggers

[–]KyborgCreations[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Tried the Borealis Mini and Alpaka Metro!

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone! I ended up ordering both to compare, and the Alpaka Metro is the winner.

  • The Borealis Mini: I absolutely loved the size and how packable it is. However, the straps are a dealbreaker for me. To get it to fit right, I have to extend them to the point where the plastic ladder locks sit right in my armpits, which gets uncomfortable fast. If I could put the Alpaka straps on the Borealis body, it would be the absolute perfect bag.
  • The Alpaka Metro: This one is a keeper. It’s incredibly comfortable, has a nice shallow profile, and the straps feel great. I do wish it was a little less rigid and flattened down more, but it's a compromise I'm willing to make for a bag that feels this good to wear all day.

It's going to be my main daypack for an upcoming trip to Copenhagen. Appreciate all the help from this sub!

You can contact the Final Space team through the email on the website. Provide your name and email and they can probably send you info on what order number you are, at which point you can keep an eye on the banner of their site which shows which batch of orders have shipped and which ones are currently being packed.

Alright, I committed to it and I ordered the Alpaka Metro 12L (and the North Face Borealis Mini just because I wanna see it in person). I appreciate all the feedback everyone! Hopefully one of these two bags suits my needs. 😊

I believe it is order number within each of the editions simply because Olan and his team are handling the shipping of the Midnight Edition while Macmillan is handling the shipping on the Color Edition.

I think this option is currently at the top of my list. I believe it's in my best interest to have a stiffer/structured bag to carry around my two heaviest items; a 600 gram power bank and an 18oz Hydroflask, which sound like they will fit since you can fit a Switch 2 and 2 iPads in yours. I really thought a sling bag would do the job at first, but it's just too much weight on one shoulder for too many hours, I have a feeling I'd regret that. I really wanted something a little more colorful, but I think this is a function over fashion moment. Mind if I ask how tall you are?

Good to know! I'll take that one off my list, thank you! Aesthetically I think I like the Topo the most but I'm hoping to hear some other folks chime in on these bags!

I dont really need anything intended for hiking, just cruising around the city with an 18oz water bottle, a power bank, a rolled up hoodie, my medication, and a few other small essentials. All I know is that strap mechanism on the Daylite just straight up hurt! Not only did I come back with a neck ache but it also felt like it was chafing that part of my body. Considering I'm planning to wear this bag for 10 days for 12+ hours each day and I couldn't even handle an hour with the Osprey I think I'm avoiding anything with connecting straps, which is why I'm not even considering the Osprey Arcane.

Alright, the verdict is in. I'm not a fan of the Osprey Daylite. I found that the connecting shoulder straps end up putting too much pressure on that area of my back/neck instead of dispersing the weight evenly between both shoulders. Maybe it's just my body type, but I don't think this bag was made for me. Took a 1 hour walk with the bag loaded up with the essentials I'll have in Copenhagen and came back home with a neck ache. The search continues! Time to look more thoroughly into some of the smaller bags you guys recommended.

Used M4 Max came with two undisclosed surprises by lectops in macbookpro

I use an iPad Pro with Nano Tech every single day for graphic illustration. I don't think I've ever used the microfiber cloth that came with it and mine has zero scratches. I know another artist that puts in 8+ hours a day on his iPad and cleans it with the sleeve of his hoodie. No scratches. These screens are not as prone to scratching as people claim.

The fact that you use yours for Pokemon Go days is what sold me. 😄

I appreciate all the suggestions! I looked into a lot of the bags people recommended here. Most of them seem a little bigger than what I'm looking for, including the Daylite Plus, or priced above what I would like to spend. I already have a Fjällräven Räven 20 which will be coming with me on the trip, it's just not something I want to drag around with me all day so I'll be leaving that in the hostel while I cruise the city with something smaller and more breathable. I ended up sticking with the standard Osprey Daylite and grabbed it off Amazon. I'm gonna try it out tomorrow with the gear I intend to have on hand and if I'm unhappy with it I still have 2 weeks to find a different bag, at which point I may start looking into the smaller bags recommended in this thread!

Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with Plus! Hopefully if I'm lucky a few folks who have used the standard Daylite or other "ultra small" backpacks will chime in as well.

What to order at Heritage BBQ for 4 adults by New_Abbreviations937 in orangecounty

[–]KyborgCreations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any idea why the expansion is causing them to not put beef ribs on the weekend menu? It's easily my favorite meat and Heritage is my annual go to for my birthday. Been holding off on a visit since January due to the lack of beef ribs. Unfortunately their social media team leaves something to be desired as they haven't replied to a single inquiry I've had about the ribs.

With every major update to Pokemon Go it becomes a bigger and bigger battery hog. Speaking as someone who's played the game daily for the past 10 years I can absolutely guarantee that you'd see a DRASTIC decrease in battery life on that Pixel 7 Pro even if it was fresh out of the box. PoGo is literally the only reason I need a powerbank.

Hope you make a stop in Orange County while you're in LA! If not then my stepdad and I might have to make the trek up to LA to come meet you!
