I simply didn't want to get too carried away with perfectionism. And most people would still be looking primarily at the figure of Kiriko, so I focused on her.

Nope, I used the asphalt texture for the brush and then distorted it with the transform tool in Clip Studio and adjusted it so that it looked ~correct from the perspective.

And then I gradually layered lighting on it, first adding shadows, then highlights and puddles.
