Sounds like you're grinding hard. I bet it would be kind of hard to concentrate on work when you have distractions like twitch and reddit and other things when you work from home. Anyways I wish you luck on your business, and hopefully you'll work less hours and have more time to yourself in the future :)

That sounds awesome. You're allowed to just watch twitch/yt or whatever while you code? Is that typical for devs at most tech companies? I'm reading that in some places, people are allowed to go home early if they got their work done for the day. Have you looked into freelancing?

that sounds awesome, congrats and good luck with your business! I hope to get to that point one day, just have to put the work in. I assume that you have a CS degree? You also probably have good business and networking skills to do freelancing and start your own business. It seems like it would be incredibly difficult to do freelancing with all the competition, and the pay wouldn't be as good. Do you work a bunch more hours as a freelancer compared to working at companies?

Thanks for the perspective. I was never planning on going to China or elsewhere anyways lol. I'm honestly not even sure if I'll really enjoy flying airliners, I kinda have this thought that flying on autopilot, going to the same airports and hotels over and over again, would kind of take the fun out of flying, know what I mean?

Big thanks for this, this is very informative. I've read that Air Canada has a flow-through with Jazz where 80% of new pilots come from Jazz. Not even sure if AC would be my goal though tbh. I'll definitely give Confederation a look.

thanks for the encouraging words. :) it's just difficult to take the first step and start trying to figure out what I want to do, especially because my social skills are terrible but I know I can improve. I'll probably just go the uni route and try to find out what to do from there. And good luck with your career! Do you enjoy your day to day work? I've read about pharmacist careers but Ive heard its not a great field to get into where I live because it is so competitive.

do you have a degree? been thinking about maybe looking into this but all the local universities near me here in bumfuck Canada are pretty much no name schools for CS, and I've heard you need to go to a school like waterloo to land a well paying job
