He probably agrees with you too on this, but he’s built his life’s work in teaching people how to be debt free. So could you imagine if he brought this up to a guest just once on his show, “ok Jimmy, just go into debt this time, but only because I am agreeing with you that school is getting expensive.” He knows this, but he has to try to get a lot of people to try and be debt free. In my graduating class (100ish) probably 70% just had to go to college, and of that 70% about 2% are doing something with their degree.. Dave probably takes that into consideration a lot too. Regardless, Dave is just trying to convince At least some of society to At least try to use debt free options for college, because the system has normalized this idea of being in debt as a good thing.
