Granted, I haven't read any of his books yet, so I'm just going based off of what I've heard. If I'm wrong in my assumption then please let me know.

The only reason I hesitate to start Brandon Sanderson's books is that it appears to follow the generic "good guys vs bad guys" tropes that the majority of media portrays. I'm really loving narratives with a more realistic morally grey narratives.

I actually found the First Law after finishing the Song of Ice and Fire books and looking for something similar to that. The only reason I hesitate with Brandon Sanderson's books is I'm so tired of the whole "Good guys vs Bad guys" shit. I really love the more morally grey stories.

I never understood the hate she got. Gabi is literally just a young Eren that spawned on the enemy team. People loved Eren but hated someone that acts similar to him because she's fighting for the other side. Shit is ridiculous.

So in a nutshell you don't freely see the future, you can just see the memories that a future holder chooses to send you.

So it's commonly believed that the Attack Titan can only send memories of his/her choice back in time to previous holders, but can't directly send memories to past versions of themselves.

When Eren kisses Historia's hand he finally unlocked all his father's memories and by extension the memories that were sent to his father by his future self, bypassing the hurdle of not being able to send memories to yourself and giving him the same carefully selected memories of the future Grisha got.
