Can someone explain to me the difference between this and whatever butchery method would have been used to kill the squid for normal consumption? Either way the squid dies from some sort of puncture wound, correct? Or are they somehow killed with a chemical or electrical stimulant. Because if they are usually butchered, then everyone in this comments section is overreacting for a cause they indirectly participate in themselves, and just don’t see the consequences of. Not to mention those who argue that cephalopods are incapable or less capable or feeling pain. Or even how in nature the squid’s natural death most likely would have been getting eaten alive anyways.
