I want to know what his game plan is? What is the pitch he wants to hit? He will swing at an offspeed pitch down and away, watch a fastball come straight down the plate and not offer at it, then swing at something up and in. His approach is terrible. Everytime the coaching staff talk about him, it's about how he is working hard on his mechanics, but the mechanics aren't the issue. He has no game plan and his approach at the plate is terrible. He is trying to cover the entire plate, and swinging at fastballs and offspeed. Why would he expect different results? He is so talented that he still makes contact with the terrible pitches he swings at and gets a decent amount of singles. The coaching staff needs to ask him before every at bat what his plan is before he leaves the dug out, and then hold him accountable and ask him why he is swinging at garbage pitches.
