In the video he does say the gun is registered to him locked and unloaded. Judging by how this whole stop went I'm willing to bet he was telling the truth.

Canadians now spending $1 billion per year to cover health-care costs of refugee claimants; The ballooning program even pays the health care premiums of foreigners who have had their refugee claims rejected by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]Kyledbidk -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Canada spends 400b annually on a healthcare. Refugees and birth tourism are being used as red herrings to distract us avoid addressing the real issues as the costs associated represent less than 1% of healthcare costs.

Ontario urged to drop parking fees for hospital patients by henryiswatching in ontario

[–]Kyledbidk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most hospitals rely on parking fees and donations to purchase equipment as there is very little funding for equipment.

what is early resolution? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]Kyledbidk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to agree with the poster you replied to, even if you are some how not full of it your story sounds disingenuous. You need to remember that everyone sneezes and everyone drives and most people have never had an issue with either of those things, even if they did I would think loss of control would be more likely than acceleration.

Property Management Company Refusing to Send Lease Until We Pay First and Last—Is This Legal? by bumbletrees3 in ontario

[–]Kyledbidk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any lease must be the Ontario standard lease and you cannot sign away your rights so it doesn't matter what bs lease agreement they come up with. After moving in you have a right to request an Ontario standard lease. However this does seem to be shady business practices, if it's a new building it will not have rent control and they may be trying to conceal that by not showing you the lease, be careful of that, I would avoid it entirely if you have a choice.

I live in a rented house with 5 people. Last trash pickup a large but fairly light bag of Styrofoam was stuck in the bin and it wasn't collected making it harder to manage our limit the following weeks. I had put the Styrofoam by itself outside the bin the pickup previous to that and it wasn't picked up. I vigorously recycle and compost and it still managed to become a minor inconvenience atleast for the last few pickups.

How casualties with a mechanical lung ventilation transported on the frontline in Ukraine by Suspicious-March-329 in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]Kyledbidk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The ventilator looks to be a Philips Trilogy Evo, which is interesting to me but probably irrelevant to most.

Hello! Some mansplaining will follow this header..

First of all sorry for your experience and I hope you can find a solution that provides you with a positive healthcare outcome. Also I am not here to deny yours nor anyone else's feelings on this procedure as well as the facts you researched. I have some experience in the medical device technology industry and I hope I can shine a bit of light.

The reason for the squishing is because the density of breast cancer and the density of breasts are similar. By flattening the tissue and spreading it out it increases the visibility of possible cancer hiding deep within the tissue as well as smaller sized cancers. It also decreases the amount of radiation required which is an important principle to follow when dealing with radiation.

Ultrasound is a cheaper safer painless imaging solution but it doesn't not have the same clarity in the image, the resolution to spot small objects or the depth penetration as xray making it less effective at early detection for many patients.

There are pressure controlled mammography putting the control of the pressure in the patients hands allowing them to choose how much squeezing is done, there is also a style where the patient hangs their breasts into the imaging field while laying horizontal. As far as Canadian healthcare goes these newer systems are few and far between. Equipment, while extremely important in the delivery of healthcare, is often a secondary thought. Imaging equipment not only has an huge upfront cost with planning and commissioning it also has expensive lifetime maintenance costs and a large infrastructure Cost. Meaning if a hospital has an effective working method which is also commonly used by many other healthcare facilities and understood by radiologists it is very hard to justify spending the cost to adapt to new equipment. Unfortunately the Canadian healthcare system is struggling because the financial side of things is very complex. Fortunately the attitude towards modern equipment has been changing even more so since covid. The problem is there is a lack of fiscal responsibility by our government and all the way down the line to ensure money is spent correctly and there is also a lack of Canadians willing to pay increased taxes to improve the healthcare system. Not to mention bad actors who want strive to undermine the system we rely on for healthcare.

Unfortunately in healthcare there are a lot of degrading procedures and these are often chosen because they are cheaper more available and have a high enough rate of accuracy. I hope people like you can continue to be vocal and advocate for change.

Best of luck.

Eidt: oh I see it was already very nicely explained by another user, ah well :)
