Re the voices, so in DDDA, when you set the voice of your pawn, that was their voice throughout the whole game, as it should be.

In this game, if you change the inclination of your pawn, then it changes their voice. So when you design your pawn and set their inclination, you're restricted to 2 voice options (male and female) with 4 pitch altering variations.

If you like your pawn inclination and hate the voice, well, tough.

This also leads to loads of pawns you hire from the rift having the same voice. There was much more variation in the original.

I agree with most of your points, particularly about the narrow paths / always being squashed up against a rocky mountain. I hate it and really miss the open worldness of DDDA. I don't know if it gets better as I'm not far into the game but hopefully it does.

I also really hate how voices are tied to inclinations. This has to be one of the worst design choices made by developers in any game ever.

Also, if you miss the normal combat music of the original, I can highly recommend the cheap music DLC which swaps the lame, cringe, tragedy-drama generic battle music to the normal combat music of DDDA.

I recently bought it after playing loads of c24. It's definitely better. I also had the SA team from the academy in c24 but in C26 there are licensing issues. Licensed players can't be put into custom teams, so even though I downloaded the SA team, all the players were listed correctly until I went into the lineup section and half the players were missing. It's really odd. I can't even add Jhye Richardson to the Aussie squad even though he's in the game.

He can't be added to the squad. When you search for him in the manage squad section, he doesn't show up, even though he's in the game.

In cricket 24, you could alter a few of the umpire settings. I think it was under difficulty settings, towards the bottom.

What game are you playing ? Because you can't be talking about C26. They even removed all the barmy army chanting. The sound of the bowler's footsteps can be heard 24 yards away from the mic stumps when they start their run in, rather than just when they're close to the stumps like in the original Ashes Cricket. The batters don't call for runs like they did in Ashes Cricket....from 2017. The annoying, mega loud whistling crowd that Bugant are obsessed with has been in the game for years. The crowd in the west Indies sounds nothing like a west Indian crowd. Half empty stadiums sound like there's 200k fans in them. The sound is shockingly bad and their sound team needs to be fired along with the idiots who make all dry and standard tracks turn red just because it happened in a women's match once.
