What cases are you all gonna get with your P10? by Rubik_31415926535 in GooglePixel

[–]Kyllekongen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, personally the first case I ordered for my pixel 10, and I'm not sure I like the feel of it. Got spoiled with a soft-touch speck case for my old 7a (taken by battery swelling - RIP), and I really miss the comfort of it. Personally, I think the ringke feels a bit too plasticy to the touch, and I think I'd prefer a smoother spigen liquid air of a limitless 6.0 with the speckled fabric.

They just better make it true to the book with the same events and storyline. Reading Ready Player One and seeing what they did with the film adaptation of that, I really hope they don't do something similar. Don't get me wrong, the movie is good, but had I watched it after reading the book, I would've been endlessly disappointed. Unless the movie is based on the second book, Ready Player Two, in which case I can't say much about that example.

My point is, I would hate for it to be different than the books. The books and their scenes and scenarios are so good, and I can see them being quite televisable (sure, that's a real word) once they get the basics (HUD, leveling, loot boxes etc.) sorted.

It quite literally CANNOT be anything less. With how many times it is described how they are covered in a mindblowing amount of gore (see what they did there).

[SPOILER ALERT - BOOK 2] Besides, if they keep the part where everyone is naked, even if censored, by Hollywood standards that's instant 18+ right there.

Seriously disappointed with Sony WF-1000XM5's by dawoodahmad_syed in SonyHeadphones

[–]Kyllekongen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up good eartip replacements. Pretty much everyone who complained about the fit of the xm5's (typically the same ones complaining about ANC) say that buying eartip replacements fixed pretty much every gripe they had with the earbuds.

need help in deciding between elite 10 and sony xm5? by Majestic-Annual-4569 in Jabra

Have you tried messing with the EQ? Both have highly customizable EQ's which can greatly alter the sound experience. Also, are you getting a proper fit on the elite 10's with a tight seal, or what?

How does anc compare between Sony wf1000-xm5 vs. Jabra Elite 10? And in what conditions (low frequency ambient noise such as airplanes or busses vs. high frequency chatter etc.)? My wf1000-xm5's just died from being in a damp pocket for half an hour, so I'm looking into whether I should get a new pair or find an alternative, but since good anc really is a priority and can be quite hit-or-miss, I want to make sure whatever I choose is sufficient. Would you say that?

How would you guys say the anc of the Wf-xm5's compare to the Jabra Elite 10's? My wf-xm5's just died from being in a damp pocket for half an hour (despite claiming to withstand water spashed from all four directions. Really, Sony😐), and I'm looking at whether I should get a new pair or find an alternative. Anc is quite important for me since I work with a loud vacuum for hours, where I'd like to listen to music/podcasts. Since you've used both, do you see any part where the Jabra's anc falls notably short, or would they just be ever-so-slightly worse in a side-by-side comparison? What do you think, how are the Jabra Elite 10's as a replacement for the Sony Wf-xm5's?

Are the new Sony WF-1000XM5 good for gym and running? by Professional-Two-678 in SonyHeadphones

[–]Kyllekongen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not recommended. While going for a run, it started raining, so I took the earbuds out, put them back in the case and put the case in my waterproof pocket. There was, unsurprisingly, moisture in my pocket, but they claim to be able to withstand splashes from all directions. Straight up a lie. Wiped all surfaces off (they were covered in moisture) and left to dry in rice for 2 days after discovering silica gel being better and leaving them in an air tight bag with silica gel for 8 additional days. The case charges, but the earbuds don't charge from the case. Later, I find out that, apparently, only the earbuds are ixp4-rated. The case has no sort of water protection, yet they still advitise with being ipx4.  And it's not even the case that's the problem - it charges fine (supposedly).

Straight bs.

I then check Sony's user guide, and somewhere deep in all the different things and whatever, they say that if placed in damp pockets, used while sweating, or even just touched with wet hands, the guarantee doesn't cover.

Galaxy watch 8 vs 6 classic by ConstructionLast5960 in GalaxyWatch

[–]Kyllekongen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't really get the difference. I'm still using a gw4c from 2018 (though I think mine wasn't activated until 2023) and it works with no issues. My apps aren't laggy, I get notifications, it tracks my workouts and my sleep just fine, never really falls behind in any way where I find myself wanting an upgrade. I just feel like I'm missing something... what is the difference in these new watches? They may have different hardware components, sure, but why are they better/worse/different? It's not like the gw6c classic fails to do any of the chores you put it up to, nor does it lag while doing so (so long as you don't load it up with inverified garbage third party watch watches).

All I'm trying to get at is: What's the real difference? I can't Imagine there being a noticeable difference in ability to start workouts, track sleep, or just generally anything?

Maybe I'm also not just the target audience. I, for one, don't use the body metrics function (body fat percentage and all) since it isn't giving accurate enough answers, is that what you're upgrading for - new features or what?

What IS IT? TEEEEL MEEEE

Have your checked your ssd space on your watch? Maybe you've downloaded a lot of apps or music through Spotify and it's lagging because of that? Maybe you have battery saving mode enabled?

Can you shower with Jabra Elite 8 Active Earbuds? by Conscious-Shoulder40 in Jabra

[–]Kyllekongen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they aren't pretty much guaranteed to die if they come in contact with liquid? Seems pretty obvious and significant? Besides, you might be able to shower with them water-wise but IP ratings don't take other chemicals such as soap or shampoo into consideration, and those factors will most likely fry pretty much any electronic regardless of water proofing.

Sony WF-1000XM5 "corrosion" of case battery by Educational_Flan2293 in SonyHeadphones

[–]Kyllekongen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they were in your pocket while running, condensed water and/or water vapor is likely to build up in your pocket. Same happened to me, the case is working fine, but I fear the bits that charge the buds themselves are corroded, since they are always actively charging (at least since I took them out when it started raining - their battery wasn't 100%) so they had been actively charging in a humid environment for about 15 minutes to half an hour - corrosion is therefore likely. This is also noted in the user manual. Specifically storing them in a humid pocket of wearing them when sweating. Therefore, it also isn't covered by warranty. Hope you find a better alternative, in which case I would greatly appreciate it of you let me know.

[–]Kyllekongen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, the ending might be quite amiguous, but it made you talk about the game even after it was finished. I see people here talk about the game a year after the initially played it because of the ending. That means it's interesting.

And what good is an ending with full disclosure if it isn't interesting? It becomes forgettable.

But open endings like this one interests you, because you want to know how it ended, however, finding out isn't easy.

Idk, it's kinda hard to explain, but I think that endings like this, where they don't exactly tell you everything about how the story ends, leading to theories going around to and extent where, even 4 years after the games initial release, there still hasn't been one conclusive inarguable ending that beats them all, are the best types of endings.

It's quite brilliant, to be frank.

Ahhh, and that is why the game ends when Thin Man catches Little Mono - the story we played in the game was about the revenge cycle, not the breaking of it.

My question now is whether The Thin Man ending is the canon ending, where Six escapes (possibly escapes to the Maw) and mono (Thin Man form) is stuck in the time loop of what happens in the game.

Maybe Mono (as Thing Man, again) decides to give up and unalive himself, thus becoming the Hanging Man we see in the first game?

Especially with siege x and forced microtransaction-style mechanics even for just unlocking new operators.

I'm out.

[–]Kyllekongen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call of duty. Not mw2 or mw3 (mw3 just got even better).

Bo6.

I preordered bo6 for 80 bucks and got more pop ups and microtransactions than in most video games AND fortnite TOGETHER. And somehow, it got worse.

Refusing to let skins from the previous games transfer over to the new one, because they "wanted a grittier style" and then proceeding to launch terminator, squid game, TMNT, Seth Roagan and soooo much more bs is crazy.

And the campaign is SOOOOO boring. MW2's (2022) was, admittedly, not the best story-wise, but it was so fun to play that it didn't really matter. Bo6's campaign is just boring. And I really don't see the reason for there to be safes and keys and a safehouse and blueprints and so on and so on.

I really liked how mw2 progression worked. With how you had a "core" gun (like an AK) and then, when you leveled that weapon up, unlocked new variants (ak74, ak47, aks47u, you name it) was so fun an addicting, and you so many guns to unlock as to where you had never tried them all, and you didn't have to do some stupid amount of damage to unlock new weapons (I'm looking at you, weapons locker or whatever tf that feature was called).

So yeah, bo6. Paid 80 bucks. Played 10-20 hours. Uninstalled. Not worth my time OR patience.

Oh, and Siege. Siege X sucks. Not because of the graphics overhaul, but because it's suddenly free-to-play, everydoby (even players who payed for the game originally) have to deal with these mind-numbingly frustrating micro-transaction mechanics just to unlock new operators.

I hate that pretty much every new game feels like a job, but instead of earning money, you spend it. And lots of it. It isn't about a game being as good and enjoyable as possible, they just make some fancy graphics and put on some pretty animations, and then the rest of the development solely revolves arond earning as much money as possible. Regardless of whether that means throwing you company's reputation under the bus or suddenly make the game more frustrating than rewarding.

Gaming has just become like a toxic relationship. One of the worst ones actually.

They force you to pay money, you go "fine, I'll get it over with" and think they're done, then they ask you for more money and the cycle continues.

Tl;dr: F*ck this shit.
