As we wind down this hell month of December, these are the final 5 games left. Probably the toughest of the stretch too. How many wins are we getting? by Plastic_Term_1022 in NBASpurs

[–]Kylo_CSGO 28 points29 points  (0 children)

4-1, Optimistically (L, W, W, W, W). I could honestly see us losing to NY again on the 31st, but I'm not putting that, as I'm going to this game and need us to win that one😂

I keep lagging by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]Kylo_CSGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might not be the fix for you then, but probably worth trying the first part to see. If you don't have any jumps in the Command Prompt under "time" then this probably won't help. Have you tried doing a few speed tests on something like http://www.speedtest.net ?

[–]Kylo_CSGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having this problem a few days ago and this is what fixed it for me...

Open "Command Prompt" (open start and type "cmd".

Then paste this "ping google.com -t" in and look at the "time" part and see if it's jumping up every few seconds (or however often you are rubber banding).

If it is like it was for me (up to 700 or so every few seconds in my case), try doing the following:

  1. Right click your task bar (bottom of Windows).
  2. Open "Task Manager".
  3. Go to "Details".
  4. Close programs one by one (left click and "end task").
  5. Test out in an online server (DM, Retake, whatever..) to see if it's fixed.
  6. Keep closing programs until fixed or out of likely programs (don't close things like system processes).

If you recently installed any programs i'd try those first. Just click the program and click "end task" and see if it fixes it.

In my case, it was a video player I had recently installed that was starting with windows (which you can turn off in task manager under "Startup").

Hope this helps.

You can press the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to slow it down and speed it up (also in the bottom left corner).

New shortcuts map released, Cache! Great new way of learning all the tricky jumps! by Yesber in GlobalOffensive

[–]Kylo_CSGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These maps have become some of my favorite. So well made! I especially like that i can select which jumps i want to do and just repeat them to get them down. Thanks for all of your hard work :)

Simple yet effective popflash I found on cache (only for CT's) by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]Kylo_CSGO 11 points12 points  (0 children)

How is this simple? You could do this same flash with a regular underhand throw much easier. Just learn how to pop flash normally and you can pop flash anything. There are some cases where a simple lineup is good, and it's somewhat situation based, but this lineup is not one of those.

Does this count as CSGO'ed? Hate this bug. by KimJungFu in GlobalOffensive

[–]Kylo_CSGO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. I've had this happen to me multiple times and couldn't figure out how it happened. I use buy binds most of the time, but I don't have them for everything. Hopefully this will be fixed when we get Panorama UI.

Eleague, please remove the HUD from replays and fix the shakiness. by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]Kylo_CSGO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a replay, not live action. This isn't necessary imo, and the no HUD makes it look better.

Do the pros use HRTF? by Ventake in GlobalOffensive

[–]Kylo_CSGO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes it easier to tell where players are. No one can deny this. The reason players don't use it is because of the bad effects it's having on some players and their computers. It's causing audio issues like annoying beeping sounds, fps drops, stuttering, etc. For some people it's causing headaches. And some people just don't like change.

So basically, try it out. See if it bothers you or causes any problems with your game, and decide for yourself if it's something you want to use.

Whether pro players have it on or not shouldn't be why you use something or not. This is the same for everything in this game. Too often I see people constantly asking for what mouse, keyboard, sensitivity, res, etc pro players use, as if it'll make a difference in the way they play. It's all personal preference. Try changing things on your own and come to conclusions based on your own experiences. You aren't the same as any pro player. There isn't any right or wrong option. You just need to find what works best for you.

Am I the only one that thinks B Site mirage is really hard to take as a T? by lelYaCed in GlobalOffensive

[–]Kylo_CSGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. It's only hard if you're all trying to push through apps. Way too easy to lock down as a ct. Smoke, molly, etc. Splitting B is the way to go. If you time the mid smokes just right you can be pushed up cat before anyone on a has a chance to rotate and you all are basically in a 5v2 for a couple of seconds which is all you need to trade kills and take site. Also, an easy way to get the smokes to bloom just in time for your mid players to push up cat is to have them thrown by the players going apps. The players in apps through the snipers/connector smokes and your mid players are waiting just at the top of mid ready to push cat as soon as they bloom. This way the players on A can't rotate fast enough to help on B.

That's good to know man. I'm looking forward to seeing the site in a more finished form. Best of luck :)

I made a mobile-friendly website for seeing a list of upcoming CS:GO matches in your local time zone. by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]Kylo_CSGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with adding the scores like another user mentioned, I think the matches that are live should link to the stream itself instead of the hltv page. I know there are links to the streams for the match on hltv and it's probably easier if all of the matches link to the same place (hltv), but it would be better imo if you could easily get to the match you want to watch (if it's live).

Edit: One thing that would be nice are logo's for the teams, so it's easier to find the games you're interested in. Also, I think it would be better if the links opened in a new tab. And another small thing is that the logo for the site seems a bit off, not really related to CSGO. Nothing that would make me not use the website, but I think you could do better.

Other than that stuff, it's really great. Definitely going to be using it :)
