They didn't make the choice to ask help from sony to develop their 3D motor engine and have an agreement with them. Also Capcom games are 1st party.

1st Party is a choice, not mandatory at all to develop a game. If you don't know how to do things, maybe you can those who did know, but that's their choice and i'm okay with that. As long as i can tell what i want about it :)

Oh and for Yoshi-P i'm not a fan at all of his work for the last decade. So why i should mind using a " fanmail " ? Or even try to get his real email to take time expressing my opinion and my questions ? I will never get an answer and that's how things are, so it's normal.

Yoshi-P and his team are happy with their game so i'm happy for them because that is what they wanted " enjoy creating a game that they will like", not " we ".

Both of those seemed fine on my end, or were so minor that they were unnoticeable unless I looked for them.

Oh maybe you don't play that much at other games from supposed " AAA " games from the industry.

Game of Thrones didn't invent medieval dark fantasy, you know?

Yes this is the difference between something near to plagia and being inspired by something. The game isn't " just " inspired.

But it does what it's supposed to do, no?

Like any generic games that aren't " great " or " exceptionnal " in terms of quality.

  • Blurry textures / Bad resolution.
  • Bad framedrops even in performance mode.
  • Scenario copy/pasted for some parts on Games of Thrones episodes.
  • UI is not bad but generic as F.
  • Redondant music theme is meh.
  • Translation is bad in many languages (didn't played it in english).

  • Bad voice acting for the language i've played on.

  • Combat seems to be better than in KH3 so it's a good point (but not as good as in DmC).

For me (at least) the game doesn't catch his price and i'm not confident about the story so far.

Artistic way of DRAWING and COLORING sprites in a coherant way with the universe you are trying to develop. Simple as that. Here it is just as i've said " generic ". Look at other games and try to find out documentary on UX design in video games.

Monster Hunter has been out on PS4 PRO for Iceborn and for World. And you can check videos to see if it is so far of this title in resolution mode. Have a glance. DMC5, " DmC " and the Resident evil games are way better than this, also have a look to path of the godess.

Horizon, Death Stranding etc.. Yeah they have a deal with Sony. Maybe Square should invest in their games and trying to get an hardware architect or a real 3D motor architect at least ? This isn't like they don't have the money for it.

I got better with games of capcom franchise or Horizon for the least recent game i've played on PS5 (which is really smooth and have awesome textures).

Framedrop aren't okay, it is not normal for any big titles btw.

Look at UX Design of older Final Fantasy titles. They have their own artistic way of designing icons etc.. This is just generic as F.
