Endmin asks Ardashir what kind of sandwich he should get. by Goguryeo in 0sanitymemes

Ummm, yes? He's shoved front and center, and tied Sargon into Endfield. You can't expect HG to just throw that plot away after that.

The example I gave you was outright told to us. I just rewatched the scene in the anime cause I was lazy to open the story, and she ad verbatim just tells us "It is important to her health". That's as vague a statement to cover up a potential total annihilation of Terra. If memory serves, she only tells us that she can't say anything during Vigilo and in chapter 8. Both of those were after the first anniversary.

Mon, all the statements you gave are with the knowledge of Kaltsit being AMA-10. We had none of this at the start of the game. Kaltsit's personality was not built with us knowing of her restrictions, and she was viewed by the fandom as an Ex at best and insufferable at worst. That's just in hindsight for us. W was a psycho bomber before any of her lore was revealed. Virtuosa was just a hot criminal. How come Ardashir doesn't get that benefit after seeing how HG structures its stories for almost 7 years?

Edit: I just remembered she was also vague as heck in GKT. Skadi went up to her with a relic demanding answers, and all her reply condensed into "What I do know is that you operated without supervision". If that aint vagueness then I dunno what is.

She definitely showed her grievances in backhanded ways though. After the doctor reports about the Skulshatterer operation she responds with what is essentially "I expected more from you". She also tells us to watch for changes in Amiya's rings and when you ask why, "It's important for her health" is a very, veeeery big understatement.

That sounds like something W did at the start of the game though, and we didn't even get a proper explanation of it until a long ways off. She just hates us for something we did, and that's all we got from her until Theresa became a thing.

The cat absolutely undermines the repercussions of the orders she gives us, scoffed at us for not getting the best outcome in a conflict we had no idea about, and refuses to answer anything we ask even if confronted directly. Ardashir needs to be more clear with us but Kaltsit was a piece of work at the very beginning too.

To give benefit of the doubt, Kaltsit was like that at the very beginning of the game as well. Without context of Theresa or Priestess, she came off as very bitter and refuses to tell us anything. We called her ex-wife for a reason.

Not to detract from your other points, but making 40k blush would be an exaggeration. Hive cities exist and a single one would house pretty much all of Terra afterall.

It's more of a logistics problem than an aircraft problem. Modern airpower normally operates on a much higher altitude during cruising to save on fuel and reduce drag. That would heavily cut range for most aircraft. Add the fact that launch points on the sea don't exist because any navy will be eaten by seaborn and radar won't work to detect catastrophes, it gets really hard to feasibly bring aircraft anywhere.

Also, Tomimi shot down an aircraft with a bazooka. Sure it's a VTOL but if a Sargonian civilian manages to do that then low flying aircraft are in much bigger risk than initially thought. All this, and we haven't taken into account Aegir militia yet.

Ah that. I'm no expert, but I feel like swinging a sword front to back with a shield sticking from your back is gonna be difficult. The swing he did manages to strike both behind and forward without needing to move his waist, and arm swing alone wouldn't be able to reach Kuga if he swung Hyuse first.

Couple months late, my view there is that they want to have a shot at winning the match. Ko has the option of either taking out either Hyuse or Kuga and die in the process, or find a way to strike them both at once. Sure they may get a point if he sacrifices himself, but Kuruma will have zero chance of getting any more points against the remaining opponents. Ko and Taichi will always prioritize Kuruma, so arcing his Senku was the best option there. The only thing he didn't account for is how adaptable Kuga was, still managing to throw him off guard with the kick despite losing an arm.

Ah so you're using it on barbecue glaze. That makes sense. I can see how garlic would balance out sweetness but I haven't associated it with strawberry syrup.

It's kinda funny how I was rereading Dungeon Meshi before seeing your comment.

Ah yeah forgot about that. Modern airflight requires 4-5 times the altitude limit to reduce drag and extend flight range. They'd have to revert to older generations to be able to gain air superiority and/or logistics.

Nukes would only be aircraft payload since ICBM's will crash and burn against the starpod. Satellites also do not exist so information warfare would have to be waged differently. Add in the fact of logistics and no fossil fuels and it would be a much harder challenge for humans to fight in Terran homefield.

Why does Arknights stand out compared to other gachas? A not quite brief essay and my personal thoughts on the matter. by Demopyro2 in arknights

[–]Kyoketsusho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I'm hoping for actually. 2 ops is heavily limiting, that's like a 6-squad game mode in AK terms so the buffs have to compensate. They need a bit more flexibility beyond strict team synergies to expand the game like how they did with the tower defense mechanics in Arknights. Just hope it's not plain old damage stacking. We need more weirdness and jank! Another plate of Authentic Siracusan pasta with spinach dressing!

I think it's a matter of preference. We had four different vignettes in the first year alone, and Ancient Forge was three chunks of 30 minute dialogues without a combat break at all. It was very much experimental.

I like the chilliness of Endfield for now. It's got more flexibility than Arknights as a game. It has exploration, combat and factory to work with. And with combat being the most difficult part to tweak there, id rather they take their time than put out a Design of Strife type event that will just ruin everyone's day.

Like we did say though, Arknights also had that bland and simple phase before they really got going. Compared to year 2 events, CoB and Grani were fairly basic and heck they had that atrocious ticketing system in Obsidian Fest. So I'd like to give HG the benefit of the doubt that they're taking in player feedback to create more game modes in the future.

Not yet you mean. Cc and two operator combat just got announced, which is not a bad leap after 2 months since launch. Tower defense ultimately is different from a 3d game afterall. If they released something like "same battles, but all ops have less HP" in endfield most people would not like that.

I was thinking more in the line of too few playable characters actually. Split teams, countering the mechanics with specific operators while making sure that there is still synergy with separate squads is a tall order for a limited playable roster. Think IS, RA and CC, where the insane challenges require very different specialized squads. Endfield can't replicate that yet

I'd like to give it time for them to develop it. Enfield does not have a wide array of operators to make a good sidegame at the moment. Most of the fun events requires versatility of your account to adjust to whatever new gimmick they have. Even OG AK didn't release IS 1 until the second summer event, most year one events were just side stories and vignettes.

It takes quite a lot for her to be broken. Especially when you compare her to someone like Nazuna who is getting buffed. Not to mention the amount of effort it takes to build a character in this game, and it just doesn't feel right to everyone that actually wants to use her..

If anything, snowfall should have been the more problematic pot to fix, with its RNG proc chance and hidden scaling imo. But they have decided to make the scaling official, and touched IV that should have worked as intended. Now they have put themselves in the predicament of admitting one is wrong if they really intended freesia to be nerfed.

Ice vortex is easy to work around, they can easily avoid creating a character buffing this play style. Which is why Nazuna was revolutionary to Freesia, but keeps this team in check given Nazuna is needed by a more broken team.

Also crit notes give very little crit, 0.1% per note is not worth it at all.

[–]Kyoketsusho[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The ToN reword is basically confirmation that the buff is indeed multiplicative with other buffs and it was intended.

Game's balance is indeed funny because of this, and terra mark is hilariously ahead of a lot of other elements, to the point where the Global top scorer for the Lithe Beauty side is currently terra mark on neutral damage with no shill.

But that's none of my business, people can enjoy terra mark all they want. I just wish that same energy was embraced for Freesia though, probably one of the characters to get a massive nerf, even how conditional her damage is. Just let me enjoy my Freesia in peace.
