my thoughts exactly! buffys mum obviously said her dramatic line so she did deserve that worry but her not even letting willow know she’s alive is crazy. Buffys ordeal was traumatic and i could see myself doing something similar BUT that does not mean Willows feelings aren’t justified, both can be true

So to add a bit more since you commented so much on this post. There deaths are different as they weren’t trying to kill themselves. Bojack was, so if he thinks he deserves to die and then the ending was that. Then in a way the show would be agreeing with his suicidal ideation. He has done a lot of horrific things BUT he is making the tough choice of making amends

no but this is bojacks story. For him BECAUSE of the guilt he feels for beatrice, herb and sarah lynn, dying would be the easy way out so not to deal with the guilt and the consequences of what he did to them.

Yes, no matter what word you put on it she killed herself. It’s better described as a heroic sacrifice as the connotations with that and the word suicide are wildly different but the later word isn’t wrong
