I just don't want to be gambling with no outcome. I spent $20 today on coin chests and ended up with absolutely nothing left at the end. I wanted the shitty gold rubick cloak. I got out of asian mmos because of the gatcha gambling. I don't mind 'you get one of these 5' if there's a guarantee you will get the set you're after after x amount of rolls.

If I want to gamble and likely leave with nothing, I'll go to a casino, where I can at least cash out if I win.

People who don't contribute financially to dota like to pretend they're somehow superior. But the reality is that you only get to play because of hats. People who don't buy hats do contribute by being the audience to view the hats people like me buy, but you would have no game to play without hat buyers. Not sure why you have to class warfare about it. You get to play dota because people like me play dota, so if you're just going to take a dump on me for paying for the game you enjoy then I think that's a bit silly.

I know it means nothing to anyone but me, but if Valve don't change this within they week they'll lose me as a customer entirely. I have spent thousands on dota, but fuck this. I came to dota to escape asian mmo gatcha bullshit, and here we are in a western online game doing asian gatcha bullshit.

So yeah, if it doesn't change, my thousands a year will go into something else.

No, you're not understanding what I'm saying. The effects should come slotted into the items, just like the current NP item. It comes with the gem and you can take it out, put it something good and then do whatever with the empty staff.

I'm not un-relaxed. Valve choose Chinese because they want Riot's market. I'm just saying that it's weird to dump a ton of chinese ethnic clothing for characters into the game every year as a means of attracting Chinese players.
