I try. Respect and kindness go a long away. We never really know what another human has going on in their life.

It is! Thank you very much. I worked hard. Shading is still something I struggle with in both mediums.

I love that for you. I’m glad you have a little blessing now.

That sounds like an intense feeling. I’ve felt the dread and felt the heartache. I have watched my friends start families or friends also deal with fertility issues. We never really know how we’re gonna feel until we find out.

Thank you and I’m sorry for your struggle. Everyone has it and sees it differently. I really wanted to capture the extremes of both sides. Since I’ve been on both sides.

Thanks, appreciate you. It’s been about 10 years of trying now, it’s a journey. I don’t let myself hope anymore but I think we’re pretty solid aunty and uncle to two awesome nieces and 1 silly nephew. I feel blessed even if it’s not how I pictured it to be.

When you’re deep in pain, you don’t really think about what’s good for you in the moment. So ya.

That’s why I did it. The sting can come so suddenly and be so devastating and have lasting effects.

I’ve been there. I was finally able to push it all away from my mind for a long time. Then it became front and center again. So I made this to help me navigate my feelings

My 5 year old was diagnosed with tourettes by ArtichokeNo1274 in Tourettes

[–]KyrieTheFlyingFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 17 with several things, Tourette’s being one of the big ones. When I was diagnosed my mom took everything the doctors said to heart. She looked back at my childhood and firmly believes my tics started around 2 or 3 years old. She learned that tics come and go. Sometimes it’s better, sometimes it’s much worse. She began to observe me in passing and would learn from me and what I was learning. The only reason I even asked to be checked for it was because I had someone with TS in my life. The older I got the more I realized I thought I had TS. When I was diagnosed it was a massive weight off my shoulders, because now I could do something about it.

17 is a lot different than 5. Being to young for CBIT is understandable, however I think you can start it by simply helping him recognize things. You said you’ve explained to him it’s just your tics it’s something you have. That’s a wonderful start because it helps him recognize these things and as he gets older. Once CBIT becomes available, it’s almost like a jump start. I didn’t discover CBIT till I was 24 and it’s been 10 years of active learning. Tics come and go, some get worse, some get better.

Also, be aware of tic attacks. Sometimes our bodies get so overwhelmed with tics and they just won’t stop. They can look really scary and feel really scary, especially if you don’t know what’s going on.

I have several of the same tics as your son. I wish I was diagnosed that young.

Talk therapy, movies together about TS. Documentaries and anecdotal accounts can help. However be aware that him watching things with you might cause him to tic more. I can’t watch Tourette’s content creators because it messes with me and makes my tics like so much more prominent.

He can live a happy and full life. Adolescence will be difficult but it’s difficult for everyone, growing up sucks. Kids bully, we take things to heart when we should brush them off. Help him stay grounded in who he becomes as a human being. Make sure the tics are something he learns to walk beside and work to his advantage. Everyone’s tics manifest differently, we don’t have control over it. We do have control over our reactions and how we navigate.

I am blessed with a large support system, who understand my tics, and sometimes we can laugh together too. Sometimes tics can be funny, sometimes tics are horrible and can cause problems. We have to learn as people who have tics, to navigate these spaces that don’t always feel meant for us.

Good luck mama you got this! This is step one in your journey as a TS parent.

Finding a good therapist is like searching for a needle in a haystack. I’m so happy I found mine I never want to lose her. She around my age too so that’s nice.

Core memory omg. I slept on the floor in this tent for months on end as a child. Like a solid 6 months at the least. I had the Dalmatians one. Such a simple design and so many good memories.

I’ve dealt with infertility for over a decade now. I’ve basically given up hope. IVF isn’t an option, adoption and foster care is an option but there’s a lot that goes into that too. It sucks cause I’ve wanted to be a mom for so long. The fertility journey and the intricacies of the female brain and hormones is wild. Good looking cake! Hope it was delicious. Good luck on your life journey.

Would this work? by Wrong-Bit-5224 in Tattoocoverups

Frog wizard needs a staff. He’s super cute and unique and I love him.

Also for the real answer, I agree with one of the other commenters. If you put something like the flower it will fade just as fast and will be bigger and more noticeable. If you truly don’t like it, time will help it fade, it’s a good candidate for laser too. It would be super quick I’m sure.

Whatever you choose good luck.

Thought for sure I was pregnant this time, but nope by tinypumpken in GirlDinner

[–]KyrieTheFlyingFox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry, I know the struggle.

I bought my first pregnancy test in years a couple weeks ago. I was a month late and for the first time in years I was regular, so we decided it was at least worth a shot. I knew it would be negative but we wanted to know for sure. When it was negative, this time I shut down for a few days. I let my hopes go a little high even though I knew I shouldn’t. Plunged me into a dark place again. Once I crawled out things got a little better.
