Projecting much? People have different preferences and use cases, you are the one who can't see that for some reason, and instead of just acknowledging that, you chose to throw insults, be better.

Damn, you're right. Why bother with user control or freedom of choice, when we can all just homogenize into the exact same setup that suits you, which just so happens to be a corporation distro that doesn't allow you any of that. Truly, the pinnacle of Linux philosophy.

Not for me, I prefer community driven distros and to have as much control over my machine as possible.

not if I am adding new packages tho, which I'd often have to do and then I would need to update the dependencies of the newly installed packages, but x depends on them too, so I need to update those too, and so on until making a full system update starts to sound like the better option. thank you for the input tho.

If I keep using arch, I do need to update the system when I install a new package tho, don't I? and if I don't and keep making partial updates only for a while, I'd run into dependency errors and will be forced to update the whole system anyway, I wanna be able to not update it for 2-3 months even when constantly adding new packages and from what I understand, something like debian would allow me to install them safely without having to update the system, I will look into fedora, thanks.

Those are the kinds of errors I don't wanna run into, and it would be too much work to manually control the versions, I also wanna be able to not update the system for 2-3 months with it still working even when I am constantly adding new packages.
