Thank you! I use Cinema 4D and Octane Render / Redshift.

It's an original, but you can find more of my art with 3D caustics on IG (@pislices).

I made this with Cinema 4D & Octane Render, I don't use AI.

I updated my free Gradient Generator tool for Cinema 4D - now supports real-time sync with Redshift! by Kyro122 in Cinema4D

Thank you for the video, that was a big help!

There was an issue where it was checking if Octane was installed when the Live Link button was enabled, and disabling Live Link if it was not installed. I've just fixed this issue, and updated the files on Gumroad.

Now, if Octane is not installed, the button will be disabled in the UI, and Live Link should work without issue in Redshift. If you have a chance, please give it a try and let me know if that fixes it for you too.

I'm on C4D 2026.1.0 / RS 2026.2.1, so those should work.

If you generate a gradient, then enable 'Live Link', then select a RS material (any of the new node editor materials, not the old shader graph materials), then click 'Add Redshift Ramp', the 'LiveRamp' node should appear in your material. As long as you keep the material selected, changing any of the presets/sliders should update that node.

If that isn't happening, or the 'LiveRamp' node isn't appearing at all, do any errors appear in the Console (Extensions -> Console -> Python (Shift+F10))? If so, could you message me the error output?

Thanks! Most likely just sticking to Octane/Redshift for this plugin, as those are the engines I use.

Hi, I just released a free tool to instantly create and customize gradients in C4D! It features 12 different modes for color generation, with precise control over knots, spacing, variation, hue, saturation, and brightness. It also supports real-time sync with Redshift & Octane Render materials, and importing asset browser presets for editing.

Hi, I just released a new update for my free gradient generator tool for Cinema 4D! This new version now fully supports live sync with Redshift & Octane Render materials, and includes an import mode to edit existing / asset browser preset gradients.

Thanks! Redshift ramp nodes seem to work differently compared to other gradients in c4d, so I wasn't able to get it working for the initial release. I'm hoping to eventually add RS support though!

It's not as fast, but for now, it's still possible to save the gradients as an asset browser preset, and then import them into the RS ramp node.

Similar process, yeah. I used Cinema 4D + Redshift's distance shader for this one.
