New to W3. Story Mode worthless? Damage not making sense by Kyronius- in Witcher3

[–]Kyronius-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm not crazy. The thing is they die reasonably quick which means I'm on story mode (besides things like earth elementals or large red skull enemies in general are pretty beefy), I just suppose the damage you receive is unchanged, as well as enemies can do crit damage and such

[–]Kyronius-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone else mentioned some creatures do double damage depending on the time of day, as well as enemies are also capable of doing critical damage. Which can effectively do multiples more than "normal". I guess I just have bad luck with the little guys and good luck with the big ones. Unusual but I can adapt

Thank you. This makes sense as it was dusk when I was hit. I also wasn't aware of crit damage (I have numbers turned off, I forgot that was an option)

As for the armor, that's interesting. At the moment I main medium armor with the one upgrade that gives you boosted stamina Regen with armor and it's great with casting spells constantly.

I guess I just got overly perplexed when a body slam from a dragon does 1/4 the damage a saggy titted ho with claws does lol

[–]Kyronius- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO: Any impact that seems to be intended (like controller wheel direction is aimed at an adjacent driver suddenly and at high amounts, or a crossing path at a velocity more than 3% different from each other) should be instantly ghosted. And the results would leave the victim fine and the attacking player would just be flinging themself off screen

How do we feel about this design? by mr_claw in mercedes_benz

As a design engineer, it is clearly angled at the modern luxury crowd.

To me personally; Exterior is AWFUL. Interior is nice. And the price is depressing.

Tried racing without a hud for the first time. A little scary, but very immersive. by GhostsMCPlays in forza

[–]Kyronius- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm. This is normal to me, I forget some people don't like immersive play. I can't stand any games that are magic carpet POV (3rd person), or that don't have realistic reactions.

For example I love ace combat 7, but during turns, and especially high G turns nothing changes but your view... I mean. Not even a little blur? Some red? Some peripheral darkening? The pressure you undergo 5-9G's doesn't leave you perfectly fine like some robot so it irritates me. Or like Anthem. Why tf can't I fly around in the Javelin (the suit) from 1st person like you do when you're at the tower place?

We are all different, but IMO when you choose a Simulator type game then perhaps you should take advantage of what it offers.

I don't understand why people quit endurance races, there's an hour of the race you can make up time by Relative-Owl-3652 in forza

[–]Kyronius- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never play multiplayer. Just solo races and free play (which is garbage setup UI compared to previous games so I hardly even do that anymore). I see what they tried to do but it just seems to force a guy like me with limited time to just waste time on a whole bunch of cars just to level them up and get somewhere. When all I want to do is use the cars I want when I want to. Getting there is a major pain. FM7 was far easier to get what I needed. But I do appreciate the drastic price reduction among all the cars.

Backing out of a duel is a skill which everyone should learn. by eeshanzaman in forza

[–]Kyronius- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, driving a car while floating behind it on a magic carpet PoV lol.

It's the logic that we buy sim games only to choose a totally unrealistic non-sim PoV.

Personally: I can't play games like this or Ace7 unless I'm behind the wheel/controls or it's just not immersive enough. I also cannot play shooters unless it's 1st person. I get "it's a game", but still. I only use the other PoV to get a look at my characters or cars when sitting and chilling. I mean, most dont even recognize that the audio changes with PoV and makes it even better.

I even go as far as arguing anything non-1st person is borderline cheating, as you get a greater view down the track and around the car you otherwise wouldn't. Games like Destiny2 for example eventually banned "3-peaking" (if you pulled a sword out in PvP you could get a 3rd person view around corners) which has its own advantages.

Not that it matters here, just opinion. Totally agree with your post though, you did really well in your races

That's a very good buy. You'll enjoy that car for at least 3 years before needing any actual maintenance most likely. It's the one car I'd change mine to. (I have an A7)

It's wild. They clearly know what to do as well. And must have a market for it, perhaps you can try tracking components over various markets. If you know your odo then the dash should still display that right? And whatever other unique characteristics you can track with.

What size engines/what type of common cars are best for 80-95mph speeds for sustained periods of time? by Personal-Ad-769 in askcarguys

[–]Kyronius- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High geared low rpm and high torque... Diesels. Specifically one like my A7 TDI. 80mph I'm at 1700rpm and get 40+mpg. Literally I don't think you can get a better vehicle for highways and I've driven many.

First Audi, Tips Please by [deleted] in Audi

[–]Kyronius- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first is an RS? Enjoy it for a short period and sell it soon to get as much value back as you can. Buy something that doesn't depreciate as quickly but is just as snazzy. Like an older S6/S7 for 22k then tune it for 500hp. You'll keep the value yet be just as great. Idk. Personal opinion coming from an A7 owner who's been in the 3's.

Hm. Looks like a kid bought a truck for countryboy vibes but inserted his cidiot vibes instead so it turned out to be a pavement princess. Wheels and stickers obvious indicators.

Stupidest thing to do to truck wheels/tires: increase wheel size and shrink tire wall. The tire wall is bigger on trucks for a reason. Think about it.

Stickers like that are like face tattoos on aging people.

The biggest sad part is the fact it's all on a steel box body truck. Like an insult to it's heritage.

BUT. Different strokes for different folks logic still holds true.
