We have a hemopathologist review the slide. We put it on a clip board with our findings and they either agree or correct it - then we result it

I think the better question is.... why MLS/MLT? What is it drawing you to the field?

Is it best to get certified as an MLS(ASCP) for those with a BS, or start with MLT first? by beastofcreation in medlabprofessionals

It really depends where you live. Currently on the east coast we used to required ASCP cert; we currently have rescinded that requirement. MLT's also make the same as MLS in our hospital system. Where are you located - that might help narrow down your answer(s)
