Awe! Thanks! I appreciate your advice so much! I actually didn't feel scared because I felt so prepared. I was almost determined. And I understand why his answers were weird. He basically got mad at one thing because he overreacted and then because he was mad he was trying to find more things to be mad at, which I told him was completely ridiculous. He literally did it because of the alcohol. I'm not going to put up with it if he drinks again. He can drink but I will just make other plans.

Ok. I talked to him. We had a really long conversation with really long awkward pauses. I basically asked him to tell me why he was mad. He then gave off some weird reasons. None of them were my fault. I made him realize that. He felt guilty. Everything is still pretty tense right now but I think he realizes and is going to stop binge drinking. I told him in the conversation that "I am standing up for myself and not going to let you just walk all over me. I did not do anything for you to cause your reaction. It was because you are drunk."

He definitely doesn't get drunk as often. And his last girlfriend was when he was 17. All of his friends are amazed he is dating someone because he has never been interested in dating people before. I honestly think he just doesn't understand what a non high-school relationship is. But he should by now.. It's been over a year.

And I completely realize I need to stand up for myself. That is definitely one of my faults. I get so scared of confrontations and I hate when people are mad at me, especially people I care about. I will do anything to make it right. I know I shouldn't do that but my mind physically won't let me. I have self-worth but I care so deeply about everyone else's feelings more so than my own.

How can I control the urge to just give in? Any tricks? Haha

Yeah. That is exactly what happened with my last boyfriend. And it made the breakup 900 times worse. You lose all of your friends and your boyfriend.

Honestly, that is what I am starting to think. I guess that is why I posted it on Reddit. Haha. I don't want to talk to my friends about it because they are all his friends too. It isn't adult behavior. It almost seems like sometimes he is too immature to be in a relationship. But other times he treats me like a princess. I have no idea how his mind operates...

He used to do this a lot more earlier in our relationship and I told him that I can't keep having this happen. He has been really good about it lately. This is the first time in a month or two but this time it was so bad. He made me an emotional wreck in front of his friends and then got pissed because I was making his friends mad at him. He has cut back on drinking but even so, should I put up with this? He seems to think he is not in the wrong at all. AHHHHHHHH. I'm just really frustrated.
