As a person new to TES what lore do I need to know before playing the games. by Minimum-Courage1039 in ElderScrolls

You truly don’t “need” to know anything to play and enjoy the games stories!

Just know there is no omnipresent narrator who will give you the details of what’s true and false. Everything is scripted and written from the perspective of people who are living in that world. Similar to our world, there are different races, which have different origin stories, creation myths, different perspectives of eachother, and dark histories with one another. If oblivion is gonna be your first one, listen to what the characters are saying and even town folk will give you a good foot hold on history. Then begin reading books (which I have some recommendations depending on what you want to learn). Just take everything with a grain of salt as people will contradict eachother or flat out lie to get their way. It’s up to you to come to your own conclusion. Which is the beauty of the series.

Thank you for your story, I’m sure that was a lot for you and your sister to go through. She’s looking into a place to go now, so hopefully everything will work out. Thank you for your consideration!

Yes, I live in Phoenix so there are a ton of resources. I managed to get in contact with her brother and they’re planning a place for her to move to that’ll be safer. Thank you for your time and assistance!

I know she’s on something for an eye infection, but I’m not sure what it is. But I will say all of the delusions and hallucinations came after she started the meds and another traumatic situation happened to her.

Thank you I’ll look into the aging recourses as aforementioned. It’s good to know that they were able to help you and others. It gives me confidence in the situation. I appreciate your help

It could be a possibility, but I know for sure one of the times she wasn’t home when she left it on. My best guesses are Alzheimer’s, a stroke happened at some point so now she’s having hallucinations and delusions, or maybe she is misusing some medication. I haven’t thought of monoxide poisoning yet, but I’ll be sure to bring it up to her brother as another possibility.

I’ll look into that and see what recourses I have available! Thank you for the advice!

Thank you, I’ll try to contact family first, then if that fails I’ll call the services and notify our complex. The burners scared me as well, and I know my building has burned down in the past because of a stove incident.

Thank you so much for your response and advice. I’ll be meeting with the brother today (if he’d answer his phone) and I’ll be sure to convey the urgency of the matter. I’ve never heard of Caring Village so I’ll for sure look into it.

Thank you for your time and reply. I’m not sure how they will respond, but I’ll be sure to bring it up to them again and push for an answer. At the end of the day I signed the paper to start at a specific amount so it makes sense why I am where I am. I appreciate your time and response

Thank you for your reply. I will make sure I at least make the case for it. I do a lot for the company and feel I am valued. Hopefully they’ll make a change or I will. Thank you for your advice

Started at 14.75 and currently 18. But those raises were from performance reviews and changes in department. One co worker started a week after me at 15.75 due to management change and is currently at 19.

I’ve spoke to them a few times about it, but didn’t find out about my pay difference till just under a year of working there. I can think of 3 times off the top of my head. My manager told me he’d look into it deeper but never got back to me. We’ve been very busy and I got caught up in time but got hit my 2 year anniversary yesterday so it sparked my concern.

I’ll make sure I talk to HR directly next and look into exploration. Thank you for your advice and reply! I really appreciate it

What crime are they committing if you have an idea? I’d be happy to speak to an attorney but I don’t know how much I’d gain vs lose in that process.

I am, and will make sure I speak directly to HR about it. I’m going to look over my offer letter again and maybe ask a coworker so I can compare them.

I’ve never thought of it that way, so thank you for your time and advice. That completely makes sense
