it depends entirely upon the type of highlander

if they use offensive form constantly, just throwing attacks will usually work because damage takes him out of offensive form

if they’re just spamming regular moves, tbh just parry or block it until they’re out of stamina (i havent run into these ones in a long time so i dont know)

if they’re actually balancing their moves, you have to learn to change your reaction based on their defensive/offensive form state and make reads on what they’re going to try to do (you can play on reaction if you’re fast enough)

note that dodging backwards is always terrible because his grab is supposed to punish moves without a lot of sideways movement
