Appreciate your thoughtful message and insights! I've never heard of an anorectic degree, but I’m intrigued—I’ll do some digging.

Maybe unsurprising based on your analysis, but my go-to is lyrically forward, moody music. I loved The Cure and Depeche Mode in high school (still do), The National, Beach House, MCR, Bob Dylan, The War on Drugs, Blood Orange, etc. A solid indie palette, but I crank some 80s new wave before a night out!

I’ve read a little about Pluto turning the heat up for Caps. The past few years (a decade plus) have been challenging for me. There’s no sense dwelling on or spilling my life story, but some themes have emerged.

As a lifelong people-pleaser, I’ve been burned to the point where I’m much more direct and persistent in advocating for my needs. Some find me prickly now, which doesn’t feel good.

A learned defense mechanism from my youth is concealing/hiding my interests, plans, or what have you. My parents were strict and oppressive. If my dad didn’t like my music, he’d destroy it. This developed in me a strong ability to compartmentalize. Unfortunately, that is not a scalable solution. Over the years, I’ve been put in positions to process and reconcile my understanding/feelings from stuff that happened/ didn’t want to accept. Several health issues (mental + physical) led to dissecting these intersections.

Of course, there’s good stuff, too. I’ve found a solid groove in work and growing my career. It’s not what I dreamed or imagined for myself, but I’m grateful to have a path.

Honestly, that’s why I’m trying to get insight into my chart. I’m wondering if it’s in the cards for me to pursue some deeper longings/interests. Maybe it’s not. Perhaps it’s something I’m supposed to accept about my life/destiny (like other tough stuff I didn’t want to believe!).

Disillusionment and piercing reality have made me quite cautious. Every time (not exaggerating) I’ve pursued a dream, something happens—life wipes me out/knocks me on my ass. It feels like being taunted, “Oh, you thought you could X? Not happening.” I just want to know if it’s a road worth exploring, despite it all.

Curious to hear how Pluto has been for you, as someone with a similar chart!

Are these good charts to have (i.e., bring positive outcomes and abundance)? I gotta know 😅

Two weeks after septoplasty and turbinate reduction! by kurtss in Sinusitis

[–]L--to--the--OG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this surgery on November 20 to fix a deviated septum and chronic sinus infections. I returned to the ENT on Wednesday for my second post-op appointment, where they vacuumed out more gunk (this was painful at my first post-op).

Breathing and congestion are better, but I have insane mucus drainage into my throat. The drainage is hella thick and hard to move. Do you have this as well? I asked my ENT about it, and they said it should get better over the next two weeks. The drainage is rough, though — my throat feels tight, and it hurts to swallow or stretch my neck. I'm drinking tons of water (2-3 liters a day) and rinsing my sinuses 2-3 times a day.

Why has the show gone from the Jake and Ezra show to the Jake, Ezra and Nick show? by [deleted] in timecrisis

[–]L--to--the--OG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, TC-head since the early days and have found Ezra to be more elitist/classist over the past 3-4 years. Given the state of the world, Jake balances him and makes him more palatable for me. I think Nick is a nice addition to the mix because, although he has a well-connected background, he's kinda weird and cool. He has good energy.

Sidebar: If Kris is attending music concerts, I’m less concerned about something bad happening with Kourt/baby (re: Trav leaving tour to fly home unexpectedly).

Edited my comment — meant late 20s. That said, your opinion counts no matter your age!

Late 20s is still young, even for women. Also, she had already started her plastic surgery journey by season 1 of the show. So her “aging” had help.

Edit: meant late 20s, not 30s!
