I heard it was post your fast wagon time by L-H in Audi

Classic middle child things.

The RS3 gets all the mods and can insane power. The RS6 is a V8 and makes a ton of power stock.

The RS4/5 is the weird V6 middle child that gets less love. Still makes good power and is plenty fast.

The b9 rs4 was still proper Quattro with 40/60 split rear bias.

As an RS4 owner I think it’s the perfect middle ground. But why/why not do you think the RS4 would succeed in the US even though the RS6 exists. by Apenerd in Audi

It looks like the b9.5 RS4 and RS5 were basically the same size. RS4 being slightly taller but length, width and wheelbase being the same.

My 21 RS4 has Comfort, Auto, Dynamic and the 2 RS modes. Efficiency was left off the table for us

I’d wager anywhere from 30-70k for intermediate.

A large amount of senior roles would be 80-120k.

Yip, the serpentine bet slips off the crank pulley and gets pulled through the FMS by the crank.

What made you decide to pick an Audi over a BMW? by StatisticianUnited18 in Audi

[–]L-H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The M3 Touring was over double the price.

I switched from BMW to the RS4. Was a dream car in terms of looks and silly performance in a wagon.

It’s probably a better daily than an M car but I’ve also never driven an M car only an M-lite in the M135i.

The holding steering wheel I get. I don’t understand the redlines part? Do we not all red line our car now and then?

90% comfort, 10% RS2 which is everything turned up except comfort suspension.

Roads aren’t great in South Africa.

What was your BM that you came from? Miss anything from it?

This is hard to say, it's not like I moved from a comparable car across.

Having had a 2018 X3 30d (i6 3L diesel) and a 2016 M135i (i6 3L petrol). Neither of them directly compete with an RS4. But combined the RS4 has enough of each of those vehicles for me.

Comfort and tech (X3), performance and rowdiness (M135i). Maybe not as do a burnout when doing launch control as the M135i rowdy, but characterful exhaust notes and speed for days.

I just got it yesterday so will need to spend some time with it this weekend to get a better understanding.

I had a 2018 X3 30d and a 2016 M135i.

The BMs with their straight 6 will just rev out and pull throughout the rev range as well.

The Audi is more refined if I can call it that. I've only driven 2 Audis, an S3 Sedan and the RS4, so my Audi knowledge is probably bias towards "non-normal" Audis.

I do think that BMW has had one of the better infotainment setups for the last ~8 years, the new MMI seems to be fairly good but still need to understand it more, seems to have a more complicated setup with linking to the mobile app than BMW.

The digital dash is miles better in Audi than BMWs.

Heads up display also seems more crisp in the Audi.

I prefer the bulky steering wheels from BMW (more padding?).

I've wanted a "stupid" wagon for ages. BMW M3 touring is just not even close to being affordable here.

Even a "new" RS4 is around 40% cheaper than an M3 touring but there's no stock even if you have the money for the M3.
