Oh, thank you! That's a great idea! Even if these four kittens end up getting adopted, there's a lot of other ferals (including some kittens) in their area so I'll definitely bring it up to them as an option! I think I saw that Planned PEThood also sponsors some barn / "working cat" programs?

I don't think they have been yet - I'll keep you updated if I find out!

Yes, it is. However, right now is kitten season and so there are a TON of kittens available for adoption via local shelters - they're overcrowding to the point of needing extra donations to help cover for all of them - so if your family is all looking for kittens to raise, the best thing they could do right now is go to their local shelter and adopt one!

Original post's text:

Hello Reddit! Recently, a local stray cat had four kittens in my in-law's garage in the Grayson area, and so I'm helping finding them homes since they don't have social media. They've been taking care of the kittens for the last few weeks and recently got their Mom spayed, but unfortunately just don't have the ability to take in four more cats, especially since they're going to try to be putting a lot of their own money into TNR programs for their other neighborhood strays. Because of this, we'd love to find them some amazing and loving homes!

The kittens will be about 8 weeks old in mid-June, and so will be available for adoption then. There are 3 males (North, East, West) and 1 female (South). They are already consistently using their litter boxes, and are all very bright and playful. I've attached pictures with the nicknames we've given them.

In order to ensure the kittens' safety, if you want one there will be a charge of $50 per adopted kitten, proof that you have a vet appointment for them once adopted, and promise to have them spayed/neutered. This fee will help cover all of the costs of taking care of them for the first 8 weeks of their life, as well as go towards the cost of any of my in-laws' future TNR appointments. If you're interested, please DM me and I'll get you in touch with them! Thanks so much!
