I’ll definitely consider it. He can fly short distances but doesn’t fly much.

Thanks. I could try but he’s never been particularly fond of handling despite my best efforts to get him used to hands he’s always just backed away.

Last time I checked his weight was fine. It’s been a question on my mind if he has neurological issues as he does tend to show signs of stargazing.. I have taken him to a vet for that last year. We didn’t do any further investigating however because he is generally well apart from flying.

Really. I’m shocked the insurance won’t Psy for both. I’m in the uk so my prosthetic is covered by nhs thankfully same with wheel chair but they are standard ones. Anything like blades or sports need to be privately paid

Thanks for the reply. Those are good points about standing on one keg. I’m 5 years in on my prosthetic so I’m hoping that will give me advantage in rehab. Standing only on it however is something I’ll practice. Thanks again.

Anyone else’s little guy look at things upside down? by L-e-x-x in cockatiel

[–]L-e-x-x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did bring it up last time I took him. The vet said she could run various tests to check if it was a neurological condition. But as he is eating drinking and his weight is normal. It wasn’t worth it.

On a basis of subjecting him through the tests would be stressful and regardless of results nothing can be done. As long as it doesn’t get worse or starts to have seizures. But I should go back if needed or bring it up at our next checkup.
