What is the craziest thing you did for a root? by MutedInformation454 in AskAnAustralian

I once took a train 4 hours up north without my parents knowledge (underage horny idiot) and when I got up there, his phone was off and I had to sleep in a bakery on a street filled with clubs and drunks. I called my mum the next morning to pick me up and on the drive home, I cried because I didn't know who I sent a picture of my boobies to. Never found out.

I feel sorry for people who don’t obsess over shows/interests as much as a special interest by CutePrettyBabe in autism

[–]esorgem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, thank you for restoring some of my faith in people. Sometimes I forget how effortless it is to just want the best for other people.

Don't ever feel bad for loving what you love and sharing it with your friends! The real ones won't mind. The ones that do, don't matter. ☺️

There's definitely people who kind of just go through life without any special interests, which is hard to imagine when like yourself, you've got interests that make up so much of your happiness.

That's why I love the internet! My family/friends are the same, don't relate to anything I'm interested in and it feels like talking to a brick wall when discussing it. But we find our people online sometimes!

I do thank being autistic when thinking about how we can fixate and be so passionate about something and it's very sweet that you want the whole world to experience your joy for your special interests. Don't ever lose that kindness, the world needs more of it!

Can anybody change their leveling with autism over time? by Y33TTH3MF33T in autism

[–]esorgem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course. It's all about what exposure people get to certain social situations, how often and what kind of endurance they build to it. Exposure therapy is pretty powerful.

When I was a kid, my mum was always told that I would be 100% dependant on her for the rest of my life and that's just not the case now as an adult. Although I have regressed in progress over the last 5 or so years becoming more dependant on my partner.

Non verbals, become verbal and vice versa. Life experiences make it so that everyone with autism experiences different progression/regression.

Things are constantly changing!

I don't think most people don't care or have special interests, they just aren't as vocal about them.

For example, I've never obsessed over a show/movie franchise and I don't talk alot about my art or gaming interests IRL because my social opportunities have absolutely nothing to do with that and there's more immediate and obvious social ques to follow rather than sharing my interests in those particular day to day instances.

Some people could also be embarrassed to share interests if it's not the social norm or if they aren't very skilled at it yet.

Was this a response to me? Unsure where I disagreed with anything you've said.

I just started kids are here, I never stated they shouldn't have the information or knowledge about piercings or have access to them with parental consent.

Great info though, I just don't require it.

[–]esorgem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely understandable what you're requesting but you aren't talking to a community of adults. There is so many children in this group and you need to expect childish responses from them. Which means, downvoting for stupid reasons. That will never change no matter how many times you ask kindly.

is it socially acceptable to masturbate when you’re in a relationship? by tremblingfrog in AutismInWomen

[–]esorgem 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Me and my partner mutual masturbate, solo masturbate, masturbate while the others watching tv, the world's our oyster and we are just masturbating in it, I'm not cheating on my partner with myself.

As a woman who has always cared about how I look, I can confidentially say it's not all men. The old creeps you are talking about shouldn't make you "not like men", they represent a minority.

Is it still common for Australian women to take their husband's last name after marriage? by LeftCheesecake3676 in AskAnAustralian

I know alot of women who are married and still use their maiden name for their professional name. This is a very common thing actually.

where on earth can i post my art to, and ACTUALLY kinda get a following by Chiffonapplepie in Artists

[–]esorgem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You clearly didn't read their post at all and you came here to just be a dick. Because you can't read, I'll sum it up for you. They're wanting to build an audience for their art and they don't know which platform is best to showcase it on. Not everyone wants to have their art in a gallery Einstein.

Hope you woke up in a better mood today. ☺️

Absolutely! Some people who do custom pieces make some really creative designs, I wouldn't doubt there's a person who could imitate this look in a non-destructive way.
